Jungkook and Yoongi had been dating for about 5 months most people thought they were going smoothly, but they weren't doing too well.

I mean they were barely seeing each other with how much Yoongi was trying to focus on his upcoming exams, it was a shame, because when Jungkook realized he didn't need to be working as much as he was he cut his jobs down to 1 job on the weekends the weekdays stayed the same 3 jobs.

The rent had been lowered that month, and Jungkook really wondered what his landlord did, there was no way he just had one building of apartments, with the rent so cheap.

He had to have something on the side, Jungkook was convinced.

In the extra time Jungkook had, he started hanging out with Jimin, who for some reason wasn't preparing for his upcoming exams.

But when Jimin and Yoongi were busy Jungkook decided to do a bit of his own homework.

It was surprisingly easy for him.

And when he went to school the next week he heard about students ages 16 and 17 were able to take the same exam the graduates of 2019 would be taking and if they got an A then they would be joining the graduates of 2019.

Jungkook and Taehyung, both began studying, I mean it would be better to go to college with your partner than have to do a year alone. Right?

But anyways back to Yoongi and Jungkook, they had been quite a lot of dates, Jihyo of course was the first to know they were dating.

Second were Taehyung and Namjoon, Yoongi had told them a few days after he and Jungkook had started.

Of course, Jungkook didn't know Yoongi had told anyone about them dating and Yoongi wanted it to stay that way.

1.9.2019

Yawning Jungkook got out of bed and walked out of his room, he'd heard the doorbell ring and that was never a good sigh.

And last night he'd crashed straight after work, it was no surprise that he was waking up at 10 am on a Saturday.

"Hey" Yoongi greeted "hey... What are you doing here so early Gi?" Jungkook asked since they started dating Jungkook had been using the nickname more often "early? It's actually quite late" Yoongi told and to him it was.

"It's 10 am, that's early" Jungkook smiled "well I came to say Happy Birthday!" Yoongi smiled and Jungkook's smile dropped "how... How did you know it was my birthday?" He asked "really? It's the first?" Yoongi questioned.

"Did you not know?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow"no, I was gonna just say it every day of the month until you cave in and tell me what day it is, but I didn't expect it to be the first" Yoongi laughed "it is though" Jungkook told.

"So what are we doing?" Yoongi asked "nothing" Jungkook answered "nothing?" The older repeated "mmh, I'm gonna sleep for another hour before I start my day" Jungkook told.

"Aww come on it's your birthday, we should do something, how about we go on a date? We haven't been on one in a while" Yoongi suggested "fine, but not because it's my birthday, but because it's been a while and I miss you" Jungkook assured and Yoongi nodded.

"Sure, I missed you more though" Yoongi said "in your dreams" Jungkook snorted before turning around "be ready in a bit" He muttered.

About 20 minutes later Jungkook was ready and the two were leaving "so where do you wanna go?" Yoongi asked "I don't know anywhere is fine" He answered "then do you wanna get something to eat?" Yoongi questioned.

The younger thought about it for a moment before nodding "sounds good" He responded "there's this really nice restaurant I go to sometimes with my parents, it's a bit on the expensive side but it'll be my treat" Yoongi explained.

"I-" "It's your birthday just let me spoil you at least today?" Yoongi whined when he noticed Jungkook about to complain about Yoongi paying.

Jungkook just rolled his eyes "whatever" He sighed and Yoongi could tell he didn't want to agree, still he smiled pecking Jungkook's cheek.

The two took Yoongi's car, the boy had gotten his licence a few months ago.

The restaurant was fancy, Jungkook had slightly expected it to be, but it was the type of fancy he'd never been to. Not that he'd ever been to a restaurant, his parents had often gone together but never taken him.

And friends... Well before meeting Yoongi and the others they were more school friends or he would go to their house.

After meeting his current friends..it was the same, they would just go to each other's house, well he'd only really been to Jimin's, Yoongi's and Hoseok's oh and Namjoon's but only once and with lots of rules.

Like no talking about dating, no eating in his room, no talking about gay people in a good way, no talking about lesbians, pretty much no talking about the LGBTQ people.

No talking while eating if his parents were home, and lots more it was crazy how many things they came up with.

Jungkook wasn't shocked when Namjoon, told them he had a girlfriend, well he was a little shocked that he was dating but not that it was a girl, I mean his parents seemed very strict when it came to Namjoon being straight.

Which is why he wasn't shocked when he heard it was arranged.

But anyway back to Yoongi and Jungkook, they had sat down and Jungkook couldn't stop looking around "so this is what it's like to eat out, it's my first time so I hope I want to come here again" He joked smiling at Yoongi who just nodded not saying anything in return

He just took in the fact that it was Jungkook's first time eating out, but I mean it made sense, he could cook, and he didn't really have money or time to eat out.

Still, Yoongi was quite shocked by the fact his parents had never taken him out to eat before.

Snapping him out of his thoughts a waiter walked up to them and placed two menus in front of them, then he was off again.

The two looked at the menu before deciding what to get Jungkook taking longer than Yoongi.

Spending half of the time looking at the price, He eventually stopped when he remembered that this is probably change to Yoongi.

It did slightly ruin his mood to think about the difference between them, Yoongi was rich, had proper parents and was really good at making friends, and so much more.

While Jungkook was working to survive, had an alcoholic couple for parents and couldn't do friends that well, sure he had them but that was because they came to him unlike how Yoongi made most of his friends.

When the waiter came back Jungkook was still thinking, maybe not so much about the food but he was still thinking. It was only after Yoongi had started talking that he realized the waiter was there.
