Chapter 14

5-12-26

Before Jungkook had the chance to say anything in return Jimin was speaking "Jungkook can you come help me with the breakfast?" He asked.

"Sure" Jungkook nodded despite being a little confused as to why he was asking him and not Seokjin, the person he usually asked.

When he was in the kitchen, phone in his hand, Jimin shut the door, the older had tried to ignore what he'd heard last night but he couldn't, it just didn't make sense.

The “Me and Ryugi's relationship hasn't been so good lately” as well as “He's so nasty, I really don't like him anymore”

Not to mention how close Yoongi and Jungkook seem to have gotten in the past 3 weeks. It was weird, too weird for Jimin to ignore.

"I don't think you called me in here to actually help, what's up?" Jungkook said he assumed there was a problem Jimin had in his life "this isn't about me this time Jungkook" Jimin told Jungkook didn't try to hide his shock.

"What's going on between you and Yoongi?" Jimin asked "we're just...I don't know...friends?" Jungkook answered "and Ryugi is ok with that" Jimin asked, he knew Jungkook too well if he asked if Ryugi had hit him Jungkook would never tell him if Ryugi really had.

But Jungkook knew Jimin just as well, he knew himself even better.

He stayed silent a moment and looked away Jimin noticed the way his jaw clenched "he is ok with that right?" Jimin repeated "...cut the crap Jimin what do you want to know, just what did I say yesterday?" Jungkook didn't remember much time the previous night.

If it wasn't for the video he took of the Taehyung and Jimin he wouldn't have remembered that either "does he hit you?" Jimin asked "no" The quickness of his response shocked himself more than Jimin.

"Alright has he ever hit you?" Jimin asked "I said no" Jungkook responded a sudden thought coming to mind, Jimin's eyes widened "that day... That Taehyung was teasing you, he hit you didn't he!" Jimin exclaimed.

"Did I not say no?" Jungkook questioned "I don't give a shit if you said no it's pretty obvious the answer is a yes Jungkook" Jimin raised his voice a little "and what makes it so obvious?" Jungkook asked "what makes you so sure he hit me?".

"Maybe the fact that you're more honest when you're drunk, or maybe the fact that he was with you the day before and Taehyung heard you scream or maybe the fact that you don't like to tell me any of your problems" Jimin answered.

"Alright, let's say he hit me, what are you going to do? Get him taken away?" Jungkook asked and that was enough to make someone misunderstand, enough to make Jimin misunderstand, think that Jungkook wanted Ryugi to stay.

Didn't want Ryugi to go away "what did he do?" Jimin questioned Jungkook didn't say anything just looked away and Jimin missed the way his eyes began watering before he quickly blinked it away.

"Look I know you hate talking about your problems unless you're completely wasted and won't remember shit the next day, but for once Jungkook just tell me what happened" Jimin tried.

"Nothing happened alright" Jungkook sighed "nothing happened my ass, I can clearly see you're lying and sure maybe I've brushed it off the other times but Jungkook this is pretty big, what did he do?" Jimin pushed.

"He hit me alright?! He strangled me and beat me with my own belt, are you happy now?" Jungkook his voice had raised a little but enough for anyone in the living room to know what he said.

He'd been trying so hard not to think about it, so fucking hard because it hurts but now it was too much.

Jimin was clearly very shocked, he didn't say anything for a second then a minute, instead he walked over to Jungkook and pulled him into a hug "I'm not happy" He told "we should report him".

"With what evidence? It was a one time thing that never happened again and it won't" He didn't even trust his own words, how could he when his voice was cracking and his eyes were watering.

"Jungkook, we can't just leave him" Jimin took a step back "I know but what else can I do? I can't break up with him" Jungkook told and Jimin didn't question why, thinking it was because Jungkook still wanted to be with him.

"We'll have to think of something" Jimin told "just leave it Jimin there's nothing we can do" Jungkook shook his head.

Jimin didn't say anything, if Jungkook loved Ryugi he wouldn't want to let him go even if he need to go, Jimin wouldn't push him knowing he wouldn't agree.

Jungkook took Jimin's silence as agreement "Jimin" He called watching as the younger moved back to the counter "yes" Jimin responded "promise me you won't tell anyone, especially not Taehyung" Jungkook begged "I promise" Jimin agreed.

"Thank you Jimin, and I'm really sorry that you had to know about this" Jungkook told "don't ever apologize it's not your fault" Jimin assured

Jungkook nodded "so what should I help with?" He asked after a few seconds of silence "you can cook the sausages" Jimin told and Jungkook nodded.

Jungkook let out a sigh of relief when he flopped on his couch it was only 12:30 yet he felt like it was 4 pm.

He was drained mentally and physically, He wasn't supposed to tell anyone about what happened between him and Ryugi, but it would be alright just as long as Ryugi never knew he told Jimin.

Things would be fine he was sure of it.
Jimin wasn't going to tell anyone. He was going to be ok, that's what he told himself when he got up from the couch and took a shower.

That's what he told himself when he left to go shopping.

Told himself when he came home.

When he cooked dinner later that evening and even when he cried himself to sleep.

Jungkook and Ryugi continued to go on dates and when the 27th came around Ryugi told Jungkook he wanted to go to Taehyung's birthday party.

Jungkook had been a little shocked he hadn't told Ryugi Taehyung was having a birthday party.

So how did the older know is what Jungkook asked Ryugi told him he assumed Taehyung was since Jungkook had told him last year he had one every year.

And since Jungkook remembered saying that he didn't find it an unreasonable answer and told him it'd probably be better if he didn't.

Not only did Taehyung not like him, but Yoongi would also be there and Jungkook wasn't sure if that was a good idea.

But after Ryugi reminded Jungkook about what had happened a little over a month ago the younger agreed, he didn't know how much longer he'd have to put up with Ryugi but he hoped it wouldn't be long.

30-12-26

The day of the party was here and Jungkook was panicking a little he was sure Taehyung was gonna be mad. But he had to brush it off when Ryugi stepped out of the bathroom and walked over to him and placed a kiss on his lips.

"I'm so happy right now" Ryugi smiled Jungkook didn't say anything in response just turned back to the mirror and fixed his outfit, then when he was done he glanced at Ryugi "do you really have to come?" He asked.

"Why do you not want me to come?" Ryugi asked "because Taehyung hates you, he won't be happy that I've brought you" Jungkook sighed.

"Don't worry Jungkook he won't even see me, I'll just look around and then leave alright?" Ryugi assured "alright" Jungkook nodded feeling a little better knowing Ryugi wouldn't be around for long.
