Chapter 34

27-1-27

"You want me to have a key to your apartment?" Jungkook asked staring down at the key in front of him "yeah I mean if I want you to stay with me I think it makes sense to give you a key to my apartment, I mean you already have the key to my heart why not have the one to my house?" Yoongi smiled.

And Jungkook blushed "thanks Yoongi" he looked down at the key in his hand "uh... I was thinking, since you... well, that's not the reason...Ugh, basically I want to.." Jungkook trailed off hearing Yoongi's phone ringing.

Yoongi glanced down at his phone and Jungkook's followed, he just barely got the chance to see the caller ID and emojis that were written after that before Yoongi was snatching his phone off the table.

"Give me a second Jungkook I have to take this" Yoongi's words sounded rushed yet unsure and it didn't matter if Jungkook nodded or not because Yoongi was answering the call and walking off totally oblivious to Jungkook's response.

"Minhye.." Jungkook muttered the name he'd seen eyebrows furrowed he couldn't help the uneasy feeling that was settling in his stomach.

Maybe it was his mum.

No, why wouldn't he have her as mum?

Jungkook was overthinking it already, but how could he not when Minhye had 2 hearts after her name.

A few minutes passed before Yoongi came back to the kitchen a stressed look painted on his face "I'm sorry about that, what were you saying?" Yoongi asked and Jungkook wanted to ask what that phone call was about and who Minhye was but he couldn't.
 
He and Yoongi weren't dating he didn't have the right to ask about those things "I... Never mind it was nothing important" it was important, he was going to ask Yoongi to go on a date with him.

"Still you can tell me" Yoongi assured "no it's really nothing" Jungkook responded standing up, he turned to walk off only to stop when he felt Yoongi grab into his hand in the softest way.

"I...I don't want you to misunderstand Jungkook" Yoongi said "about what?" Jungkook questioned "the phone call I had just now I-" "you don't need to explain it to me" Jungkook interrupted pulling his hand away from Yoongi's gentle grip.

Before Yoongi could say anything Jungkook was talking again "I'll be in my room if you need me" he told grabbing his phone and the key that he'd left on the side then he was walking off.

Jungkook didn't know why he'd told Yoongi he didn't need to explain, it had been a mistake both at the time and now because right now Jungkook had tears streaming down his cheeks because of his mistake.

Let's start from this morning.

Jungkook had arranged to meet up with Jimin and Seokjin at their apartment building so they could all hang out, yet he still made sure to eat breakfast with Yoongi before he left.

Why would he purposely miss out on an opportunity to joke around and flirt with the man he liked? He and Yoongi had pretty much ignored the whole Minhye topic neither of them had said anything about the phone call or anything related to it.

But anyways after breakfast Jungkook got in his car and drove to meet Jimin and Seokjin, when he got there they were already waiting outside, both boys got in his car.

"Hey Jungkook" they both greeted "hey" Jungkook responded "your a quite late you know" Jimin playfully scold "I was having breakfast with Yoongi" Jungkook told.

"Until when are you gonna stay with him? Not in a bad way but I'm sure you don't need to stay with him any longer... Or do you?" Jimin asked "well I was planning on moving out about a week ago..but Yoongi told me not to" Jungkook smiled.
