"Happy birthday" Jimin squeaked hugging Hoshi with a big smile on his face.

A little over a year had passed, and Jungkook's fear for Taehyung had slowly faded, but it was still there, never completely dying down.

He wasn't scared to the point where he changed the way he spoke but he didn't go close to Taehyung and made sure to never be alone with him.

His fear had gone from Taehyung potentially saying something that could ruin his whole life, to Taehyung potentially hitting him, or saying something that he didn't want to share.

But apart from that, their friend group had slightly grown, 2 more boys and another girl having joined them,
The girl's name was Seyeon and the boys' names were, Hoseok and Hoshi.

Hoshi was the same age as Jungkook, Jihyo, Taehyung and Namjoon.

Hoseok and Seyeon being the same age as Jimin and Yoongi.

It was kinda sad when Jungkook thought about it, Yoongi, Hoseok, Seyeon and Namjoon would be all finishing a year before him.

Though Namjoon was the same age as him, he was smarter and actually had time to study.

Jungkook never had time to study, but had always found the test easy, he'd just never done it until this year, if he had time to study he would probably ace all his Subjects but Bs and Cs were enough.

Still, his grades weren't enough to get him moved onto the next year like Namjoon's were.

But he didn't mind their group growing bigger, Seyeon and Hoseok were nice people, though none of them went through what Jungkook did and had to work, and they seemed to like the things Jimin talked about it didn't affect Jungkook.

Because he'd grown closer to Yoongi, they'd just be talking with each other.

While Hoseok and Seyeon were nice, Hoshi, god was he a piece of work he had a mouth like Taehyung, but it was just a little different, instead of only being rude to Jungkook Hoshi was pretty much rude to everyone sure not all the time but enough to have people looking at him.

He was more blunt than anything, always saying what came to mind without caring how others felt.

And over time the group had gotten used to it, I mean the first month Hoshi had been quiet but then get slowly merged out of his shell.

He was in a way kinda like both Jungkook and Taehyung, both quite rude, just in different ways.

Jungkook had always disliked birthdays thought they were useless, he remembered when the others had gotten Yoongi a present last year at school and he found it weird.

They'd done that for everyone else's birthday they'd always asked Jungkook about his and he always told them he would tell them soon.

He waited till it was Namjoon's birthday and they asked again for him to say "I'm already 16" Jimin seemed quite upset that they'd missed it but Jungkook still never told.

Namjoon and Jimin's birthdays had been ok, for Namjoon's they just brought gifts and when Jimin said about having a little gathering for his Jungkook was a bit shocked.

He thought they just give presents but then Jimin said that Namjoon and Yoongi's don't like big things for their birthday's that's why they only gave presents.

Since it was Jimin's birthday he agreed and that day they'd have a small party.

A little after that he met Hoseok, he blended straight in, I mean he and Taehyung didn't get along much but not enough to have a problem.

They just didn't talk.

But anyways back to birthdays, what Jungkook wasn't expecting was Taehyung's birthday, he heard the boy was throwing a big party at Yoongi's, Jungkook said he'd stay for a few minutes.

When he got there he was shocked a how many people there were, a bunch of people he'd never seen before and had assumed were rich kids, he'd only stayed for 30 minutes.

And then he'd left but he'd heard Taehyung had cried, something about missing his parents.

A little after at he met Hoshi and Seyeon, Hoseok and Seyeon being born in the same month and both wanting nothing for their birthday yet still got a gift from everyone.

And sooner or later it was Hoshi's birthday, luckily he didn't want anything big had said he just wanted some presents.

And that's what he got.

Today when they'd all sat around the lunch table, Jimin being the first to say happy birthday before the other also said it and handed him his presents.

Jungkook had always felt bad because his presents had always been the cheapest, but this time he felt a little better when Hoshi had opened it and saw the little key chain and began making weird sounds at how cute he thought it was.

And then asked who'd brought and where from so he could buy the whole stock, Jungkook felt a lot better with Hoshi's reaction.

Jungkook was surprised at how Taehyung had gotten him an expensive watch when he had no money his gifts were always expensive despite him not having a job.

Jungkook knew it wasn't coming from Jimin's parents because Jimin's gift hadn't been expensive and he had always said he got very little allowance.

But Jungkook honestly didn't care enough to ask.
