20.3.17

"Anyone know where Jungkook is?" Namjoon asked when ten minutes of lunch went by and Jungkook still hadn't joined them.

"He's sitting over there" Jimin gestured over to where Jungkook was sitting, the boy just staring at his phone instead of eating his food.

"Well, why's he over there?" Namjoon asked "did something happen?" Yoongi joined in "...Guess he just really didn't want to be with us" Taehyung muttered "oh shut up this is all your fault" Jimin groaned slapping Taehyung's arm.

"I already said sorry" Taehyung whined "and I didn't mean it like that" "Whatever" Jimin rolled his eyes "but... He told me..." Yoongi trailed off, Jungkook hadn't told him anything.

Sure he said their conversation was something he wanted to have, but he never said he wanted to be Yoongi's friend, still, Yoongi felt some type of way even after letting him stay at his house meet his mum, even after laughing and joking with him he didn't want the friendship Yoongi wanted.

"Fucking sucks right" Jimin sighed Yoongi nodded before talking "wait...You said it was Taehyung's fault just what do you mean?" Yoongi questioned.

"I didn't have any bad intentions, it was just empty threats and then I got carried away" Taehyung tried to explain before Jimin could, knowing that if Jimin did he'd probably get his ass beat.

"Threats? You threatened him?" Yoongi asked, Taehyung nodded "for what?" The older asked "so he would be you guys' friend" Taehyung sighed.

Yoongi was silent for a moment then he groaned "god Taehyung you're so fucking stupid" "I know. And I'm sorry, I won't do it again" Taehyung told.

"Better not" Yoongi warned, and then, he started thinking.

When he'd asked Jungkook he'd said there was nothing going on, why would he lie? Was he that scared?

If he lied about that, just what else did he lie about out of fear? Enjoying the conversation they had? Everything that had happened that day?

He looked over at Jungkook who had been looking at him, they barely made eye contact for more than a second before Jungkook looked away stared at his food before sighing and looking at his phone.

22.3.17

This was the third time Jungkook had almost walked over to sit next to Jimin, Namjoon, Yoongi and Taehyung only to stop halfway and sit alone somewhere else.

His smile shone brightly despite the bruise on his face and cut on his lip when he saw he had gotten paid, yet he still needed a new job.

Turns out his dad had stolen some money and yesterday a man had come shouting about how he wants his money back.

Jungkook had earned a few punches on the way.

He'd found a shop not far from home and asked for a job only to be declined.

So now he had enough money to pay a quarter of the rent and the guy back, which he would be meeting today.

It was so embarrassing when the guy had come, he started fighting Jungkook's dad, luckily Jungkook was quick to separate them, the bruise on his cheek and cut on his lip being evidence.

When the man calmed down Jungkook had to get on his knees and apologise, say his dad wasn't mentally well and had already used the money but not to worry because he would pay him back the next day.

The guy was pretty angry, threw a few curse words before storming out of the house.

He'd still made sure to get Jungkook's number before he left.

It was about 5 minutes into lunchtime when Jungkook's phone started ringing, it was the guy, he was calling and asking if they could meet now.

Jungkook agreed and then he was off, missing Yoongi who had just been heading towards him.

"Once again I'm so sorry" Jungkook told "it's fine, I'm also sorry for punching you I should've held back" The man chuckled, he seemed to be alright now that he wasn't furious.

"Have a great day kid" Then the man was gone, Jungkook felt like shit, sure it'd gone smoothly but he still felt so bad for having to return to money that shouldn't have been stolen.

Now he needed to get back to school before lunch was over he'd literally begged the teacher to let him go before he left promising he'd be back in time.

And if he ran he'd get back just 2 minutes late. So he got up out of his seat and rushed out of Starbucks and began running, it wasn't worth taking a taxi he wasn't that far from school.

Traffic lights seemed to be taking hours to change when Jungkook needed to cross the road, but he wasn't trying to die so he had to be patient.

He glanced down at his watch and read 1 pm, gosh he felt like he was so close but he was just passing the road to his apartment.

God he felt like he was running too fast but any slower than that and he wouldn't make it 4 minutes late.

Then he was seeing the school and glanced down at his watch, reading 1:02 pm.

Running inside the school he almost forgot where his class was, then he remembered it was upstairs so he ran 2 flights of stairs before finally, he saw his classroom door.

He slowed down before opening the door "sorry I'm late" He sounded like he'd just run a marathon "it's fine just don't let it happen again" The teacher rolled her eyes before turning to continue the class.

Jungkook tried to control his breathing but he just couldn't he was sweating and his heart was pounding as he made his way to his seat.

It felt uncomfortable to have all the students staring at him but right now he just didn't give 2 fucks.

Only 3 people were looking at him differently from the rest those being Jimin, Namjoon and Yoongi.

They were shocked not only had Jungkook never been late he'd never looked like that.

"Try to not breathe so loudly," The teacher said when she could still hear him breathing "sorry I just ran from Starbucks" He would have rolled his eyes if he wasn't so tired "if you weren't at Starbucks you wouldn't be running" She sassed.

"If I didn't have to be at school I wouldn't be" He seemed to have found the strength to roll his eyes.

"Whatever just don't be late Hyunkook" She said "it's Jungkook" He corrected, the teacher just ignored him and went back to teaching.
