Chapter 16

31-12-26

Jungkook hissed turning over and reaching for his trousers to get his ringing phone from the pocket of it. He didn't even look at it properly before answering "hello?" He muttered.

"Hello? Shouldn't you start with a sorry?" Taehyung asked "what?" Jungkook used all his strength to sit up "you didn't show up at all yesterday, I called you a thousand times, Jimin called you and still, you didn't show" Taehyung told.

"I can explain" Jungkook assured getting out of the bed and falling into the floor, his back hurt like shit and his legs felt like jelly "fuck" He cursed "please do explain" Taehyung scoffed.

"I'll meet you at your apartment" Jungkook said then he hung up and picked up his jeans and searched for his car keys ignoring the pain and the ringing thoughts in his head.

When he didn't find them he sighed and called Taehyung back "can you come pick me up please?" He asked as soon as he heard the phone connect.

"I'm at the place where the party was held" he told "what are you doing there?" Taehyung asked "I'll explain later" Jungkook sighed "I'll be there is 20" the younger told then the line went dead.

And 20 minutes later Taehyung was there, Jungkook had managed to make it downstairs and was outside, he'd thought about looking for his car keys as well as his jacket that he couldn't find.

But decided against it since getting up was already hard, the 20-minute wait was torture Jungkook decided to try his best to ignore what happened yesterday and decided to focus on how Ryugi knew what he told Jimin.

He'd come to the conclusion that there had to be a bug on his phone.

It had to be Jimin promised he wouldn't tell anyone, and sure enough Jungkook found a bug on his phone, Ryugi had probably been using it to listen to everything he was saying.

Jungkook immediately deleted it and then continued waiting, he tried his best not to think about what happened, but sadly he failed, his thoughts lead back to Ryugi, the feeling of his hands on his neck coming back, the thoughts of Ryugi drugging him coming back.

And before he knew it he was a crying mess, he didn't know what had happened after he passed out but the thought of Ryugi doing something was enough.

Soon after he began crying Taehyung and Jimin showed up the two instantly jumped out of their car and rushed over to him "Jungkook what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Jimin asked worry laced in each word.

Jungkook looked up and the two noticed the many hickeys and bruising on his neck "what happened to you?" Taehyung asked giving a hand to help the older up.

"I don't wanna talk about it here" he muttered two boys nodding and helping him into the car.

The ride to the apartment was quiet–if we're not including the sound of Jungkook's light sobs– by the time they got there Jungkook felt a little worse.

His lips red from biting them, eyes puffy and red from crying, and body still sore from last night Jungkook usually took the stairs since he only lived on the second floor much like Jimin and Taehyung but this time they took the lift.

When they got to Jimin's apartment, he probably should have figured the others were going to be there, I mean Taehyung always had an after-party of just the group.

Yet he still felt somewhat embarrassed when he saw their eyes widened at the sight of him, when he saw Seokjin jump up and rush over asking what had happened.

Jimin shook his head at Seokjin silently telling him not to ask, Seokjin quickly understands and when Jungkook muttered something about not having the key to his apartment and wanting to shower Jimin told him he had a spare towel and some clothes he could borrow.

Jungkook thanked him and the others watched as Taehyung helped Jungkook to the bathroom.

And when the younger returned saying Jungkook was showering they began talking "what happened?" Yoongi asked "not sure, we found him outside of the mansion crying" Taehyung answered.

"Do...do you think Ryugi would have done that?" Hoseok asked a worried expression plastered on his face as the others looked at him, Jimin especially fast.

"What makes you say that?" Yoongi asked "I..well remember on Seokjin's birthday, when we all got drunk well I woke up sometime around the time when Jungkook was saying about how much he loved himself" Hoseok paused.

"And well I heard him say about how he cried when Ryugi hit him, but Jimin asked him and he said kissed so I thought maybe I heard things but the other day when I went to the bathroom I heard the two talking a little" he admitted glancing at Jimin.

"And yesterday he showed up and Ryugi showed up with him but they disappeared and an hour later Namjoon said he thought he saw Ryugi so...I just thought maybe Ryugi could have done something to him" 

"What exactly did you two talk about?" Taehyung turned to Jimin "I promised I wouldn't tell" he murmured looking away "now is not the time to be worrying about what you promised what if Ryugi actually did something to him?" Taehyung asked.

"He said Ryugi had beat him"  Jimin told "why didn't you say anything?" Yoongi asked "he told me it happened ages ago and not to do anything and made me promise, what else was I supposed to do we didn't have evidence" Jimin sighed.

The others didn't say anything for a moment and then Namjoon spoke "you don't think he...assaulted him do you?".

The bathroom door opened and neither of them said anything as Jungkook walked out drying his wet hair.

He'd hoped a shower would make him feel better and it did, the slightest bit, unfortunately as soon as he got out and saw the hickeys covering his neck and immediately felt worse.

Having everyone looking at him made him a little uncomfortable "I'll explain now Taehyung" he said walking over to the couch and where he sat down, Jimin and Yoongi sat beside him.

"I did come to the party, went to look for you guys, but then something happened as you can tell and then I fell asleep and didn't wake up until you called this morning and I realised I didn't have my car keys and when I was waiting for you guys I realised my car was gone" he explained.

"Your gift was in there, I'll get a new one tomorrow so don't wor-" "do you really think I care about my gift?" Taehyung interrupted "are you ok?" he asked.

Jungkook hadn't been expecting that, the question hurting more than he expected, he would have said he was fine but they would have known it was a lie by the way his eyes watered.

Instead, he just shook his head "was it someone you know?" Yoongi question "I...we were supposed to be looking for one of my friends, he said he saw one of you go upstairs so we went up there and then he took me to one of the rooms he found out that I told Jimin he hit me, he bugged my phone" Jungkook began.

"He was angry, and he started strangling me then he beat me and, I thought he was gonna go but he got me a glass of water and took a sip from it then gave it to me and since I couldn't breathe properly I took the water and drank it"

"He put something that made me feel weird, he kissed me and not long after I passed out" Jungkook sighed "who is he Jungkook?" Seokjin questioned and Jungkook was silent for a moment too long before he finally spoke.

"Ryugi".
