𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲

forty-nine: You Did It.

     

     AFTER A while, Pope kneeled down at the drain. "Hey, Kai, you find anything yet?" He asked as Kai kept crawling, feeling mostly grossed out but he's been in worst situations. "Yeah, Kai, do you see the gun?" JJ said as he kneels down right beside Pope.

"Nothing." He says, sighing as he kept crawling. "It's probably at the bottom of the catch basin." Pope replied back as he finally got out of the small pipe drain, groaning. He looks up at the man hole above him, standing up before looking down, sighing softly. It was all gross and filled with garbage, Kie would be disappointed yet again by the usage of plastic.

He kneels down, beginning to search through the catch basin. He grimaces when something attached to his arm, so he quickly pushed it off. It was so disgusting down here. "Guys, I think I found something!" He says when he feels a hard object at the bottom of the water. "So gross..." he whispers under his breath. "Wait, you got it?" Kie is the first to reply back to him.

"Is it the gun?"

But when he raised it above the surface, he panicked and let it go. "Oh, my God! What the fuck?!" He said and backed away. "Guys, there's something... dead in here!" He shouted back to them. "Like... like a person?!" JJ called back. He panicked even more, screaming loudly this time as he backs away even more, looking away. "Oh, my God! There's something fucking dead!" He exclaimed once more to them.

"Like a person?!"

"Kai, don't touch it. That's how you get worms!"

"Did you find the gun? Is it Gavin?"

"What is it? Is it Gavin?"

"Don't touch it!" Kai just keeps searching through the water, avoiding the dead thing with a grimace. "Kai, is it a gun? Do you see the gun, Kai? Do you see anything?" JJ shouted back and Kai just groans. "JJ, shut up! I'm trying to look for it!" He yelled back to him.

Kai quickly turns around when he notices the water becoming higher. Splashing around. "Oh, shit. Guys?" Kai shouted back to them as he realized what was happening. "Guys, the water!" He yells and JJ looks inside. "Kai! Get out of there now!" He shouted out to him. "I don't have time!" He yelled, panicking.

He starts climbing up the ladder. "Shit." JJ says, looking at Kie and Pope who also shout out for him. "Kai!" The three yell together into the sewer drain as water kept plummeting against the boy in the catch basin. The water comes out, splashing all over Kie, Pope and JJ who grunt, holding onto the bars of the drain. "Maybe there's a manhole! Go!" Kie shouted to JJ who pushed him. "Go, go, go!" JJ ran off first as Pope and Kie run after him after getting out of the water after he did. "Kai!" JJ shouts.

"Please! Pope! JJ! Kie!" Kai shouted, trying to lift to the plate. "Guys! I'm over here!" He shouted as the three run over to him. "Kai! We're coming!" JJ shouted, before kneeling down. "Kai!" JJ says, grabbing the manhole and trying to pull it up. "Come on! Please! Please!" He panicked, trying to push the metal plate up as Kie and Pope join JJ to try and open it.

By now, the water has come up to his neck as he kept his face facing up. "Hurry! Hurry!" He shouted as the boys and Kie put all their strength into lifting up the covering. JJ now takes out his pocket knife as the water hits Kai's chin. "JJ! JJ! Please!" Kai says in a panicked voice but the blade of his knife just comes off so they go back to trying to pull it up.

By now, Kai is under the water and holding in his breath as the water comes out the drain. "Come on! Come on!" JJ yelled, by now because he was panicking, Kai breathed in some of the water and tried to push it back out. When the cover finally comes off, Kai comes out of the water, pushing his hair back as he gasped, coughing and crawled onto the road, laying down. JJ comes to his side, breathing heavily.

"Kai, Kai, are you okay? Hey, hey..." He whispered and Kai turned to him, gasping as he hugs JJ's waist, hiding his face into his chest. JJ wrapped his arms around Kai's shoulders, putting a hand up to his wet hair as JJ grimaced at the smell of the sewer water but said nothing as he hugged his boyfriend tightly.

"Thought we lost you..." JJ mumbled quietly as Kie glanced over at Pope who's watching the pair a bit awkwardly, waiting as Kai suddenly pulled back, "oh, look." He took something out from his pants and it was the gun. "Holy shit!" JJ laughed, taking out his bandanna.

The boy wraps the gun in the scarf as they cheer before Kai got up, sighing as he pushed all of his hair back. "You did it!" JJ grabbed Kai's face, leaning in and kissing his forehead as Kie smiled widely, wrapping her arms around Kai, the other two boys joined, a group hug.

"Come on. Let's get this to Shoupe."

All Kai wanted to do was get out of the disgusting clothes he was in and taking a nice long relaxing shower, but he knows that they have to take it straight to Shoupe, to prove him wrong, that Ward Cameron killed Gavin and also that Rafe killed Peterkin, not John B.

On the way there, Kai patted himself dry with a towel Kie had given him, ruffling his hair dry with the towel before they arrive to the police station, he looked at JJ, grabbing his hand. "I don't feel... that good." He whispered. "Is it the pecker worm?" JJ asked quietly and Kai rolled his eyes. "I just... nevermind, let's go." He got out of the car and followed Kie and Pope. Kie turned her attention towards him.

"You okay?" She put a hand up to his upperarm and he quickly nodded. "Yeah... just fine and dandy." He muttered quietly and she just pulls him into a side hug before they walk into the building and asked for Shoupe.

i have so many ideas i hope will work out considering how chaotic s2 was, it was like all over the place i almost couldn't focus
