THE next morning, the boys arrived to the boat in the middle of the marsh. "Uh-oh!" Pope called out. "You forget your keys or something?" Kai chuckled as he asked. "You guys need a tow?" John B asked and they closer, "you gotta admit, it was kinda funny." He said to them, smiling.

"John B." Kie says as they were closer. "Uh, what's that?" He says. "Mastermind, huh?" Kie says. "I'm always planning." John B says in a smug tone. "Some patriarchal bullshit." Kie says as she stood up. "Yeah, that sucked." Sarah says as Kai looked over at Kie. "You still love us though, right?" He asked with a small smile at the pair.

"Yeah, whatever." Sarah said as she stood up and Kie ignored Kai because JJ tossed her a rope. "You still hate me?" John B asked Sarah who crossed her arms. "A little. We're both gonna get you back when you least expect it." Sarah says and Kie looked at them. "Watch your back, boys." She says and Kai looked at then other three.

"Mm-hm." Sarah says as she looks back at John B. "Well, I, for one, welcome that challenge." Pope said as he looked up at the two girls. "Me too." JJ said as he wrapped his arms around Kai's shoulders, standing behind him. "So, did you guys, you know..." Pope trailed off. "Reconcile our differences?" Kie said as she looks at Pope.

"Mm-mm." Sarah shook her head and Kai glanced between the two girls. "Not even close." Kie says, looking off into the distance. "But..." Sarah says and Kai looked over at her right away. "We're... willing to work together." She says as she looks at Kie who smiles. "You know what? That's victory." John B concluded and JJ nods.

"Yup." He says as he glanced between the two girls. "Know why? Hydroponic." JJ explained, basically saying it was all thanks to the weed. "Don't say that." Pope says as he shakes his head. "Alright, shut up." John B says to JJ and Pope. "You guys ready to jack someone up?" He asked the girls next. They just smile, "yeah, whatever." Kie says as she jumps onto the boat, pulling Kai into a hug. "Yep." Sarah nods. "In the boat." John B says.

Later, in the van, they drove to the Crain house. "You got rope?" John B asked. "Got it." Pope answered back. "Grappling hook?" He asked and Kai furrows his brows. "We don't have a grappling hook. We're not Batman." He said to John B, sitting with JJ. "Pulley?" John B asked next.

"Check." Kie answers. "Dark clothes?" They all answered to John B at that. "Flashlights?" John B asked as he pulled over, putting the van into park. "Check." JJ answers. "Alright. Good. We're ready." John B says, turning off the lights and the engine. "Let's go." John B opens the door and got out of the van to go around to their door.

"Let's go get rich, guys."

"Yeah. Hell, yeah."

"Let's go, boys." Kie says. "And girls." Sarah says. "Wait, wait." John B stops them and they all look at him. "I wanna say thank you, guys. Seriously." John B says, looking at Kie and Kai then to JJ and over to Sarah before looking at Pope. "It means a lot to me that you're here tonight."

He looks at Kie who rolls her eyes a bit at how sentimental he's being. "Always." She says with a smile at him and he chuckles softly. "Of course, man." Pope said and John B raised his hand. "My man." He says as they do their handshake. John B looks at Sarah, staring at one another. Kai smiled, looking at John B and all of them before looked at JJ who spoke up, "alright, we done with the circle jerk? Can we go do this?" He said, the rope on his shoulder and Kai rolls his eyes, staring at the blond with a soft smile anyway.

"Yeah."

"Let's go get that wheat in the water."

"Weed? I'm up for weed."

"Wheat. He said wheat." Kai said as they hop out of the van one by one. They all climb over the brick wall and made their way through the bushes and trees until they reached the house, all standing in a line. Then the lights went off, Sarah gasping. "Shit!" "Oh, shit!" The group rush to hide so they don't get caught, "flashlights!" Kie said and they all turned them off pretty quickly.

John B shushed them, "okay, so she has motion sensor lights." Pope says, looking over to JJ and Kai to his left. "We could, uh... move really slowly, maybe?" JJ suggested and Kai sighed. "That's now how motion sensor lights work, JJ," he says as he looked to his boyfriend.

"Oh, shit. Let's throw a rock at it." John B suggested next. "What?" Pope looked at him with a scrunched up look. "That's a really good idea, actually. Let the axe murderer know that we're here." Kie says and Kai pointed to her. "Throw a rock at it?" Pope says and John B looks at him. "Okay, you guys have a better idea?" He asked, annoyed. "What about the breaker? In the circuit box on the porch. We use to play hide-and-seek here as kids. And if we were brave enough, we'd go all the way up to the porch. I've seen it." Sarah says.

"No, no. You're not going in the house alone." John B says, shaking his head. "Watch me." Sarah says and JJ looks at her. "Crain chops people into pieces." He says and Sarah looks back at him. "If you believe that, hut she's like what, 85?"

"Yeah, something like that."

"She's probably barely still kicking." Sarah said and Kie looks at her. "Here. I'll go with you." She said and the blonde girl looks back to her. "Yeah." She nods. "Okay. We'll wait for your signal." Pope said to the two girls. "Okay, cool." Sarah says as she stood up along with Kie. "Hey! Be safe." John B says, mostly looking at Sarah.

"We will."

After they walk away, Kai turned Pope's face towards him. "Be safe." He mocked John B, using a sultry tone. "I'll be so safe. I'll be safe for you." Pope whispered back, grabbing Kai's upperarm. "Can you guys stop? Stop!" John B said in annoyance and JJ harshly tugged Kai to him. "Jealous?" Pope smirked and JJ just sticks his tongue out at him like a child and rubbed Kai's arm. Kai just chuckled softly, rolling his eyes at JJ. "I'm gonna kill you." JJ says to Pope and Kai who were both trying to keep their laughter in. "But how would that keep us safe?" Pope said and Kai snorts.

"Shut up."
