THE van parks outside the lighthouse, all of the teens hopping out of the vehicle. They stand together, looking at the lighthouse. "Alright, here's what's gonna happen, you're gonna post up and look out for bogeys, okay?" John B asked as he walks over to JJ. "Wait... why me?" JJ asked, confused. "Because you're not coming." Pope simply answered his question.

"Why?" JJ asked, looking at him. "There are independent and dependent variables. And you're independent. We don't know what you're going to do!" Pope says as JJ tries to interrupt by telling him to shut up. "Just listen to me for a second! Just listen." John B says loudly.

"Pope, Kai, you stand look out with JJ. Okay?" He said and Kai scoffs. "If we get split up, we meet back at JJ's house." John B says and Kie nods. "Great." She says, looking at the boys.

"Well, I'm gonna work on my merit scholarship essay, and I'm trying to keep felonies down to a minimum." Pope says to Kai and JJ. "Alright, would you just shut up already?" JJ says and Kai rolls his eyes, walking away, to the van. Kai reached inside, grabbing his backpack and taking out his pack of smokes, putting one to his lips then proceeding to light it up with his Zippo lighter.

"Hey." He heard a hushed whisper and Kai quickly spun around to face JJ. "Hi..." He says, sounding confused and glancing over at Pope who was now playing with the hacky sack that JJ had. "I-I wanted to say I'm sorry." JJ mumbled.

"Hmm? Speak up..." Kai teasingly cups his ear and JJ sighs. "I'm sorry. You're my best friend. I should always be supportive of you, no matter what asshole boyfriend you have." He glanced down and Kai nods slowly. "Okay..." He says.

"Okay you forgive me or okay go fuck yourself?" JJ says and Kai chuckles. "Both." He smiled widely and JJ just sheepishly smiled as he looked away, reaching out to the cigarette in Kai's hand which he takes from him, to take a drag.

The cops ended up coming so they left pretty quickly. To JJ's. And sometime in the evening, John B showed up, honking the horn of the van and gestured to them to get in. "Let's ride." JJ says as Kai and Pope get up, walking over. "This better be good." Pope simply said to him.

They drove to The Wreck next where Pope headed on inside. And then he came back out, "she said she's not coming." He calls out. "Why not?" Kai asked, sitting in the passenger seat.

"What'd you do to her, John B?" JJ looks over at the driver and Kai rolls his eyes. "Shit." John B says as he leans over. "Hang on. I'll deal with it." He adds, getting out of the van and shutting the door. As John B heads inside, Kai looks over at JJ, looking concerned and JJ shrugs.

Kie did join and then they were on their way. "Do you mind if I just relax on this one?" JJ says as his side pressed towards Kai and he was basically leaning against him. "It's been a long day and a lot of weird stuff's gone down."

Kai glanced at him to see him holding up a joint. "I'm just gonna lay low. Oh, did you want a hit of this?" JJ asked Pope who's looking at him. "I'd keep the signal clear." He says. "Dude, okay. Do you understand that your problem is that you don't get creative? If you got creative, then—" "Look, I-I know I was wrong about the lighthouse, alright?" John B suddenly cut JJ off.

"And pretty much wrong about everything else going on. But I-I was right about one thing. Okay? My dad is trying to tell me something." John B says and Kai looks at JJ who quickly turned his head to look at him only to realize how close they had gotten. Maybe at least an inch away. Kai's face heated up and he looked away in an instant.

The boys and Kie arrive to the cemetery. "Come on, hey. Hey, come on." John B says, they all had flashlights except for Kai who walked grumpily and his arms crossed over his chest. "I'm coming. This place is scary." Kie says.

"Agreed." Kai sighed, walking between Pope and JJ. "I'll hold your hand." JJ said and Kai naturally assumes he's joking. "Shut up." He rolls his eyes but then JJ's hand slipped into his. Kai's whole face got red and he could already tell JJ was smiling without even having to look at him.

"So, Redfield. This whole time, I thought it was a place, right? But it's not a place." John B says before he comes to a stop. "It's a person." He says and JJ looks at Kai. "Voi-effing-là." He says and Kai rolls his eyes, nudging him gently.

"See, my great-great-grandmother Olivia Redfield. That was her maiden name." John B says, looking back at the name written above. "Help me with the door, come on." John B says and Pope nods. "Alright." He walks over. "Go." Kie says as she goes to stand on the other side of Kai.

"One, two, three..." They put their all into it, grunting, "are you pushing?" Pope asked, his teeth gritted together. "Yeah, I'm pushing." John B says and Kai lets go of JJ's hand.

He walks over, trying to help them and JJ does the same, standing between the two but the door still wouldn't budge. Four teenage boys... and it wouldn't move a fucking inch. "This door is like 700 pounds. It's not gonna budge." Pope says. "We didn't come this far to get this far, alright?"

"We got this." But a snake frightens the boys, all of them exclaiming and backing away. "That's a moccasin, alright. Ye olde Dr. Cottonmouth. Death in tall grass." JJ says before he starts barking and Kai sighs, standing behind John B. "JJ, shut up. Shut up!" Kie yells at him.

"You're gonna wake the dead, man."

"Dude. They're afraid of dogs. Everyone knows that, man." JJ simply says to Pope and Kai rolls his eyes. "Wait, wait, hold on." JJ says, grabbing John B. "What?" John B says, turning to him. "If there's one, there's probably dozens." The blond says. "What?" Pope says. "All around." JJ says, spinning around. "Oh my God, can you stop? You're scaring me." Kie says and Kai sighed.

JJ starts barking again. "Stop barking at the snakes." Johm B says in annoyance. "Look, John B—" "Just making sure it's clear." JJ cut off Kai who lightly shoved him. "Shut up." He whispered in an angry tone. "John B, look, we're not gonna get in there, alright? It's not budging, even with all four of us trying to open it together. We should probably just go..." Kai says to him.

"I can get through."

They all look at Kie. "What?" John B says. "No, no, no, no. You think you're gonna fit through the hole? That hole?" John B rambled. "Look, this is about your dad. And honestly, I really don't believe in it, but you deserve to know the truth." Kie says to John B. "I'll do it." She added.

"Come on." She walks over to the door. "Can you help me with that?" She asked and the boys all help her, pushing the branches out of the way before Kai interlocks his fingers together. "I'll give you a boost," he says. "Remind me what we're looking for." Kie says, looking at John B. "You'll know when you see it." Is all he even says.

"Hold my flashlight." She says and JJ grabs it from her before she steps closer to Kai, "Alright, so hold onto me and just then your foot..." He says and she nods, grabbing his shoulders and stepping onto his interlocked hands. Luckily she isn't that heavy so he lifts her up gently to the hole where she crawls through. "Okay, flashlight?" She said once she was inside. JJ hands it to her.

"You alive? You got like a—a heart beat and everything?" John B asked making Kai give him a weird look. "So far." Kie calls back. "That's good. That's good." John B simly says. "Yep." She says, a little faintly. "Uh, I need some more light." She says and John B nods, "I got you." He says before holding his lantern inside the hole.

"Did you find something? Is there gold?"
