𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲

ninety-four: Poguelandia.

THE GROUP of seven now arrive to shore of some sort of island, the boys pulling in the boat as JJ had been forced to sit down because Kai was really worried about him so he's sitting with Cleo, Kie and Sarah. "Come on, boys. That's good." John B says as they set down the boat. "Good job, guys." Sarah says.

"Good job." Kie says as they walk over to them. "JJ, are you okay?" Kai asked, looking at his boyfriend. "Y-Yeah... still a little dizzy." He says as John B sat by him and Pope sits down beside Cleo. "Okay, anybody know where... exactly we are?" Kai asks, looking around.

"Deserted beach. Unknown island."

"Alright, I'll take that as a no." Kai says as he sighs. "Plan A, huh, Pope? That went well." JJ says as he looks over. "This is the lowest we can go." Pope said, glancing over at the others. "We literally have nothing else to lose. The cross, gone." He says to them.

"The gold, gone." Sarah says, glancing away. "Seriously, if we had a nickel for everytime we got beat up, I'd say we're at a dollar fifty." JJ says making Kai look at him. "That's more than I got on me." Kie says and Kai sighs. "That somehow doesn't make me feel better." Sarah says and Kai just simply looked around.

"Yeah, you're right. But, I mean, we've... We've had some good stuff happen, right?" John B says, trying to look on the bright side. "Name something." Pope says to him. "Um... Uh, the boiler room." John B looks at Cleo. "What? If the boiler didn't explode, I wouldn't have gotten away from Rafe. I couldn't have gotten the Zodiac and gotten us out of here."

"That wasn't luck. That thing was gonna blow the second I stopped feeding it." Cleo says. "Stealing my thunder, Cleo," the boy says as the girl then apologizes. "Okay. Pope, you're related to Denmark Tanny. That's crazy." He says and Pope looks over at him. "And I lost all his inheritance." He says and Kai sighs softly.

"You know what? Guys, this is it. This is the Pogue life." John B says as he stood up, turning to them. "We are in the Carribean. It's our own little slice of paradise. With my best friends, with my family." He says and Kai smiles, looking at him. "I don't know. I wouldn't wanna do it with anyone else." John B says.

"Look, and while you guys were complaining about every little thing..." He says and looked at JJ. "JJ?" He says and the boy hums, looking up. John B points and JJ looks over. "I was looking at those burly lefts." He says.

"There's some slabs out there."

"Just a few."

John B turns to the others, "Kie, you see that? I know you guys wanna get out there." He says as Kie glanced away. "There's no boards." She says. "Well, we can bodysurf till we make some boards." John B merely says as Kai smiles widely. "Lame." He says.

"Pope? Come on, man."

"They do look pretty tasty." Pope nods. "Oh, yes. They do." John B looks at him and Pope stands up. "There's nobody around. We could squat here for a bit." He says as he looks around. "Kind of belongs to us now, huh?"

"You got a point."

"Seven-way split?" Pope says as they do the handshake. "Poguelandia." JJ says making them look at the boy standing up. "I claim thee Poguelandia. I like the ring of it." He looks at Kai, saying it in a normal voice. "I'm gonna make a flag. It's gonna have a chicken on it." He plans, smiling and Kai just chuckles.

"With a coconute bra, smoking a J..." He says as Sarah and Kie laugh. "In crocs." He added and Kai rolls his eyes. "I could use a J." Kie says and Kai sighs. "Same here..." He says, glancing at her. "Can we vote on this?"

"Shall we get to work?"

"Let's get to work. Let's start working on provisions. Set up shop." John B fist bumps Pope says before walkng over to Sarah as Kai looks at JJ standing beside him, his arm around his neck. "Full Pogue." Sarah says as John B helps her up. Pope follows his action, helping up Cleo, "welcome to the Pogues."

"Thanks."

Kai looks at Kie with a raised brow as the girl simply stood up, not even noticing. She smiles at Kai, "let's go, boys." She said and put her arm around Kai as Cleo asked about the handshake that they do which Pope now teaches her as they walked around the pair.

Back at home in OBX, Kiara's parents were setting up missing posters with Kai's parents of them both, they were helping each other out. There was a press conference held about them, about how they went missing, about finding them or anything about their whereabouts. And back in his home, Sterling lies awake, thinking and worrying about Kai.

That night, JJ and Kai sit together on the beach as Kai's eyes are on his boyfriend and his boyfriend only. "Jesus, J, you always scare me half to death..." He whispers and JJ looks at him. "You guys say so all the time yourselves, I'm like a cockroach." He chuckles.

"Yeah... but I was really scared, you know?" At the sound of Kai's shaky tone, JJ's gaze softens as he looked at his boy. "I'm okay, alright? See?" He said and raised his boyfriend's hand to where the blunt side of the blade had hit him. "I'm right here, alright?" JJ smiled big.

"Yeah..." Kai sighs, sliding his hand down to the side of his boyfriend's face, rubbing his thumb against his cheekbone. "I just... get scared. Easily." He glanced away, pulling his hand back and JJ looks at the water. "Yeah... I know. But I get scared too, you know. A-Anytime someone attacks you, I-I get so scared, I act before I think or say or whatever... I guess it's just animal instincts like... protectiveness." He says and Kai just smiled softly at him.

"What were you going to do when I almost drowned? Fight the water?" He asked and JJ looks at him. "You know what I mean, Kai..." He says and Kai's playful manner goes away as he glanced away. "Yeah... I know. I'm just not use to you being so open." He whispers and JJ chuckles, putting his arm around Kai. "I do it because I love you." He whispers before leaning in to kiss Kai's cheek.

"Remember what I said about the surf trip? This'll be that surf trip... we're here with the people we love. Our friends, our family... It's perfect. More than what I had planned." JJ says making Kai smile, glancing over at him. "Yeah..." He says as he looked away. "Hey. Do you wanna like..." JJ leans back, his arm propping him up. "Look for somewhere private in the... bushes?" He's trying so hard to be seductive.

"JJ... do you have a concussion? I'm not having sex in the woods." Kai whisper yells. But that was apparently a lie since they took up the responsibility of looking for some firewood. "We needed that," JJ leaned back against the tree as he sat down and Kai sighed. "I guess... but did you have to go two times?" He asked, raising his two fingers and JJ shrugs.

"Yeah..."
