𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲

ninety-three: Machete.

    

     THE ANNOUNCEMENT began not long after Pope and Cleo left, "attention, all passengers, all crew, report to the tween forward hull. That's an order. Repeat. All hands and all passengers report to the tween forward hull immediately." Is announced over the intercom speakers as JJ smiles. "They did it. They took the bridge." John B says.

"That's our boy."

"Alright, split up. Once they're all in the hull, Kie, Kai and I will lock them inside." JJ says, glancing at John B. "I'll find Sarah and get the lifeboat." He whispers, looking at JJ. "Then we'll meet you, load up the cross and get outta here." Kai says, nodding. "Okay. Let's go." Kie says and JJ is first one out, looking at Kai and helping him out. After Kai, John B comes out and then Kai helps Kie who looks all around.

At the forward hull, they watched the men coming in. "Psst. How many?" JJ whispers to Kie who raised her three fingers. The men were talking about the cross being cursed and that they're making God angry making Kai furrow his brows and scrunch up his face as he looked towards the entrance to the forward hall between him and JJ. He looks over at Kie on the other side of him. "Where are we going, and where's Dad?" A familar voice.

"I don't know, Wheezie."

"Is that all of them?" Kai whispers, looking at JJ who shakes his head quickly. "That's all of the crew." Kie says and JJ looks at them. "Except Ward. We need Ward." He says and Kai looks at Kie. "We can't wait." Kie says and Kai sighed. "She's right. We gotta lock them in now..." He looked over and JJ gives in.

Kie and Kai run over to the door, pushing it closed before the crew can stop them. The men began fighting back, trying to open the door. "Close it! Close it!" JJ shouts and Kai pushed harder, then they locked it. "Check the other door!" A man shouts on the other side. "There's another door! There's another door!" Kai shouted and ran off first, ahead of them. He got there first, Kai slamming it closed and locking it quickly as JJ and Kie caught up.

Once they got everyone locked in there, Kie, Kai and JJ run along the side of the ship. JJ stops, hiding before nodding. "Clear." He says before they run to the front. "I don't see him." JJ said ss they stopped at the sight of the captain. "Of course. There's more of you. Get down on your knees." The man took out a machete. "Yeah, that's not gonna happen." JJ said as Kai pushed Kie behind them protectively.

JJ ducks when the man swings at him, then swings his arm the other way so Kai grabs his arm, pressing it against the wall. JJ punches the man as Kai tries to get the machete but then Kie pulls a panel up that hits the man. "Where's John B?!" JJ shouted at the man.

"John B!" Kie shouts over the edge as Eberhimi throws JJ to the side. "JJ!" Kai said as the man turns to him, swinging at him. Kai backs away, dodging each hit when JJ pushed Kai out of the way, towards Kiara. "J!" Kai says as the man swings at JJ before shoving him away, making him fall to the ground again.

"Hey!" Kai jumps onto the man's back but Eberhimi fights back as he hits Kai off his back and JJ stood up quickly. "Hey!" He shouted angrily and began fighting the man but he elbowed him in the nose.

He looks at Kai and Kie, swinging his machete, but they duck away and he hits JJ. "JJ!" Kai shouted as he runs to the side and Kai kicks the man, "shit." Kai said when he saw his boyfriend turned down in the water.

"Fuck!" He jumped overboard and Kie panicked on what to do, then she jumped in after him. Kai grabs JJ, "JJ!" He said, holding onto him and Kie comes to his side. "JJ! Stay with me!" Kai says, holding him up as he uses his legs to stay up. "JJ! You better not be dead or I'm gonna kill you!" Kie says with her hand holding JJ's tank in a fist as she sounded worried.

They stayed swimming in the water, alongsides the ship as Kai begins to struggle to keep JJ up. "Shit, Kie, Kie, he's slipping," he said right away and Kie helps him by grabbing onto the other side of JJ. "JJ! Stay with us!" Kie says, smacking the boy's fsce gently. "Please! Please!" Kai begged as he held JJ tighter.

"The blade didn't hit him, at least," Kai pants out. "It was the blunt end." Kie says right away and Kai sighed. "Fuck! Fuck! Where are John B and the others?!" He looks around. "He's coming, okay? Just, just hold on!" Kie says, trying to reassure Kai who's hands keep slipping but he adjusted them each time.

"John B! Help!" Kie shouted, sounding scared that JJ might be seriously hurt. "Please, please! Help!" Kai shouted and then the lifeboat came into view. "JJ! No! No! No! No!" John B said as he pulled up beside them. "Grab him! Grab him, John B!" Kai says and John B did so as Pope helped Kie into the boat.

Kai helps up JJ with John B who then helps him up into the boat. John B takes off as Kai rushed to JJ's side, putting his hands to his face. "Come on, come on, JJ, please, please wake up," he said with tears all in his face. "JJ! JJ?" He shook his shoulder softly. The engine sputters and stops, "what's going on?!"

They all look at John B, "we're stalling out." He tells the others who are clearly panicked. "You serious? We're sitting ducks." Pope says. "We gotta go!" Kie exclaimed. "We gotta go!" Pope added aftwards. As they all panicked, Kai kept his eyes on JJ, hoping he's okay. "He's pointing at us!" Pope says when he noticed Rafe holding a gun aimed at them.

"I'm trying, okay?"

Kai looks over at John B right as the engine starts. "We gotta get moving. Yeah! Go!" Pope says and John B drives off again as Kai looks at JJ. "JJ, JJ, please wake up!" He kept shaking him and John B keeps patting his arm as he drove. JJ hacks up water, coughing, "JJ!" Kai said with a sigh of relief.

"There you go. Yeah, yeah. Cough it out. Cough it out, baby. Okay, buddy, there you go." John B said as Kai smiled widely. "Hey. Hey, buddy." Pope says, smiling wide as well. "Welcome to the land of the living, dude. No CPR needed, huh?" John B said as JJ immediately looks at Kai. "I owned that guy back there, right?" He says and Kai nodded his head.

"Totally. So much so that you took a hit from a machete." He laughs before wrapping his arms around JJ who hugs back right away. "Machete?" JJ says, raising his hand to where he's hurt. "The blunt end." Kie clarifies.

"Next time, duck." Cleo says and Kai looks at JJ, smiling softly. "I'll try to remember that next time. Thanks." The blond boy said as he leans towards his boyfriend who sighed, putting his arms around JJ once more, closing his eyes. "This shit ain't over." Pope says.

"No, it ain't."
