𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲

ninety: Coastal Venture.

   

     THE BOYS hide in the bushes on the yard, "get down! Get down!" JJ says when he saw Rafe walk out but John B walks forward. "No, wait! Not yet!" JJ grabs him. "Okay, then what do we do? What's the plan?" The boy asked, glancing at the other three.

"Well, he might have the gun, so, uh, what's in our favor?" JJ asked. "The element of surprise, that's what's in our favor right now." Kai says, looking at them. "What can we surprise him with, Kai?" John B asked as he looks back at him. "Um, um..." Kai says, stammering. "I'm working on it!" JJ said, looking at the truck. "What id we threw something in front?"

"Threw what, where? In the tree?"

"Slingshot. Yeah."

But then Pope takes off, running at the truck so Kai looks over. "Pope!" JJ shouts as the boy ran for the truck, jumping onto it and grabbing onto the handle on it. "Shit!" Kai says. "What was that shit?" John B asked them.

They look at the house, "well, Rafe's gone. Now let's just storm the fort." JJ says right when Rose and Wheezie came out, holding Sarah. "Dude, they got Sarah." JJ whispered as Kai shook his head. "She looks..." He trailed off. "What'd they do to her?" John B asked.

They put Sarah into the backseat of the car, Wheezie got into the passenger seat and Rose got into the driver's side before they drove off. The boys began running after the car, "hey! Stop the car!" John B shouted as they bang on the windows with their fists. "Wheezie! Unlock the door!" Kai shouted as he and JJ were on the passenger side of the car.

The car began speeding up and John B falls over so JJ and Kai rush over to help him up. "Come on! Let's get to the Twinkie, man!" JJ said and once John B was up on his feet, "are you okay?" Kai asked right away. "Yeah." John B says as they ran to the van. "You want me to drive?" JJ says, pushing the back door open for Kai who jumps in, closing it quickly.

"No, I got it." John B shouts as he jumps into the driver's side, turning on the van and driving off. He sped off, following after the car. After some time, the sun had began coming up and they were still following after Rose.

They begin slowing down, John B turning to park on the side. "We did it, ol' girl. We did it." John B said then they got out. They snuck in through the security to the loading dock of the big ship by hiding behind a truck at the gate.

"Wait. The Coastal Venture. Dude, I know that ship. My dad did legs on her last summer. It's a total tramp steamer. I worked on her in port." JJ tells them as they hid so they don't get caught. "There's the cross. Right there, look." John B pointed at the wooden crate.

"And there's that son of a bitch, Rafe..." Kai sighs. "God, I hate that guy." John B says as some guy gets Sarah out of the car. "There she is." John B says before looking at the other two. "JJ, Kai, we gotta come up with a plan." He whispered to them. "I know..." Kai says, sighing. "I'm working on it." JJ says.

"Maybe if we get over to that barge, we go over. We'll have to get into the water, though." JJ said, pointing. "That's fine," John B tells him. "Then we're gonna be sitting ducks. So I don't--" "Howdy." The three boys flinch and Kai sighs, "oh, my God, Kie!" He said and embraced his friend into a hug. "You guys look scared as shit." She said, chuckling softly.

"How'd you guys even find us?" JJ said as Kai pulls away and they continued to hide by going low. "Geo-located your phone." Kie said and Kai looks over at Pope. "You okay? What happened?" John B asked as Kai noticed the mud all over Pope. "Rafe, round three." Is all he tells them. "Are you freaking kidding me? Again?" JJ asked, sounding mad.

"This was a tie."

"You good?" Kai asked but Pope ignores his question as he asked, "is that the cross?" His eyes are watching the crate being lifted into the ship. "Yep." JJ said quietly.

"They're holding Sarah hostage."

"We have to get on that boat."

"First we gotta get past the goon squad."

"Okay, let's move. Come on," John B said, looking at Pope. "Pope, what are you doing?" He asked. "I have an idea. Just trust me." Pope says to him, patting his shoulder. "No, hey! Stop running! We gotta go, dude." John B says and Pope looks back at him. "Trust me, man. Go. I'll meet up with you guys. Go."

After Pope ran off, they just waited and then a big explosion went off. "Holy shit! Did Pope just do that?" Kai looked at JJ who's holding on tightly to his hand. As all the crew went running, shouting about the fire department and about where it came from, Kie looks at them. "It's working." She tells them.

Pope comes running back, "what the hell was that?" Kai asked him right away. "Look. That container's going on the ship. We can get in that way." Pope said as he pointed and they see the open the container. "Are you with me?" Pope looks at him. "You're a genius."

"Let's go. Hey, this way. Come on." John B said as they run over to the truck with the container in it. Pope jumps up first, "woah, woah. Did you think this through?" JJ asked as Pope looks at them. "Yes. This is the plan." Pope said as Kai backs away a bit. "That's a trap right there. Right? We can't get out once we get in." JJ asked, looking at John B.

"Hey, hey, you guys don't have to come. Right?" John B looked at Kie. "Right. This is our fight." Pope said and Kai looks at JJ. "Yeah. Right." John B says, getting in next. "Kai?" JJ looked at his boyfriend who's staring at the container. He glanced at JJ, "I'm in if you're in, J." He says and then looked over at Kie.

"Nothing to lose, right?" Kie said before walking over and climbing in. JJ helps up Kai before he jumps in after him. "Go! Go! Go!" JJ said as they ran to the back and hide. Kai and JJ are hiding together as JJ fist bumps John B then the two doors of the container close.

i was gonna make kai stay just for the drama and then when the group go missing, he'd spend hours and hours missing jj and trying to look for them but eventually moves on, then when season 3 would come and they reunite, kai would be with sterling because he moved on from jj or sumn. 😭 but then... i decided against that. because i didn't wanna hurt them anymore i already have 💔
