three: A Crime Scene.

AFTER taking off from the wreck, Kai looked over at Kie who spoke up, "guys, we should report the wreck to the coast guard. Maybe we'll get a finder's fee." She says to them. "Yeah, and not work all summer." Kai agreed with her afterwards. "Thanks, Agatha, ya batch." JJ says making Kai chuckle, as he rolled his eyes.

They eventually agreed to go and tell the coast guard, walking down the pier. There were many people there, no doubt all making the dumbest complaints over the littlest things. Kai hangs back outside by himself, before not long after they came out, "well, that went well."

"So, what's the plan?" Kai asked and John B holds up the motel key. "I think I know how we're gonna find the guy who owns that boat." He explained making Kai glance between him and JJ. "No, no, we don't know whose room that is. It could belong to anyone." Pope disagreed.

"I'm in." JJ tossed the keys to Kie who catches them, "come on." She says to Pope who turns to her. "I'll be lookout." She adds before she walks away with JJ and Kai following her. John B and Pope join them shortly because John B did not have to take forever to convince Pope into it.

As they arrive to the motel, JJ whistles, "I thought the Château looked bad." He says and Kai raised his brows. "This place is a shitshow." John B says and Kie carried on, "motel or meth lab?"

"You be the judge."

"Doesn't look like the type of place somebody with a Grady-White stays." Kai says as he glanced over at Kie, John B and Pope. "No, looks like the type of place someone with a Grady-White would get killed." Pope said, looking back at him.

"Alright, here we go." JJ says as they pull up to the pier. "This is your captain speaking. HMS Pogue comin' in for landing." He adds before he jumps off the boat and ties it down. "We good?" John B asked. "Yeah, we good." JJ says and the curly haired boy stands up. "Alright, here goes nothing. Coming, K?" He looks at Kai who nods, standing up. "Hey." Pope said making both Kai and John B stop to turn back towards him and Kie.

"Don't let him do anything stupid." Pope says as he points at JJ who was staring at Kai. "Oh, we will." JJ nods. "I'm not making promises." John B says. "Yeah, I know." Pope says in annoyance. "I'll try my best, Pope, but you know how JJ is." Kai says as he shrugs his shoulders. "Uh, be careful." Kie says to John B as she hands him the key.

"I mean it." She says after he takes the key. John B simply chuckles. "Yeah." He says, following after Kai who jumps off the boat, bumping into JJ as he walks past him. "Come on." He smiled and JJ followed behind him and John B.

"Why are all these mattresses out here?"

"After a hurricane, they ditch 'em cause they're all moldy." The three boys were on the second level of the hotel, passing by other hotels. "Just be so careful, John." JJ mocked Kie, holding his hand to John B's face that the boy shoves away. "God, you're so weird." He says, annoyed.

"What was that about?" JJ said and Kai rolls his eyes. "I don't know, maybe because she knows you dumbasses always get us in the most trouble?" Kai mused as he looks at JJ. "Since she heard John B is being threatened with exile, she's just been, like, Oh!" He mocked, massaging John B's shoulders. "Be so careful, John B." The boy shoves his hands off and JJ didn't even stop there.

"Oh, just give me that John D already." He continued making Kai laugh softly, glancing at John B. "Like when are you gonna swoop on that, man?" JJ says as he gestured towards the boat. "Bro, you know the rule. No Pogue-on-Pogue macking." John B says as he gestured to the boat as well before turning back towards JJ.

"Besides, you're the one always hitting on her." John B defends himself which makes Kai looking at that, not really listening and wishing John B hadn't brought it up at all. "Of course I'm hitting on her. She's a super-hot, rich, hippie chick slumming with us. Why? I can't figure it out either, but who cares, bro? I know that door's locked because I've tried it. Have you?" JJ asked him.
