The day after the incident with the map, I was sitting in the common room telling Lucy everything that happened. "Wait. You did what?" She exclaimed.

"I told you it's nothing to worry about. We got away fine. And like I said Fred and George are not going to do anything else like that this year. I made them promise." I replied.

"Alright if you say so. but let's finish studying for exams. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not have to retake potions." said Lucy, concluding our conversation.

A week passed and it was time for our exams. Our first day would be spent doing Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. All our other lessons would be tomorrow. Then we would have one more week of classes and we could receive our results telling us if we passed the exams or not.

We had just finished our last exam for the first day when Fred came up behind me.
"So. How do you think everything went?" He said.

"Alright I hope." I simply said.

"Well that's good, I guess." He then just walked along side me in silence until we reached the common room where he pulled me aside. He then turned me around and looked me straight in the eye. "Look. I am really sorry about the other night. I know I snapped at you and you just wanted to help me. Will you please forgive me." He said with a sincere look of sorrow in his eye.

"Of course Fred." I replied giving him a hug with which he greatly returned. "But I really do need to finish studying for the exams." So, I let go of the hug to find him still hanging onto me. "Fred. I have to study." I told him giggling to myself.

"I know. I just wanted to hold you for a little bit." He said. I was now red from what he just said and in fear of him seeing me as soon as he let go I walked away to the girls dorms. I grabbed the few study materials I needed and headed to the Library where I knew I could get some peace and quiet to study. But then I started thinking about what Fred said. "I just want to hold you for a little bit." Did that mean something? Or was I overthinking the whole thing? Throughout the past year Fred and I have gotten really close and have always done stupid stuff like that. Why did it mean so much to me now? I finally brushed the thought away for the time being and studied for my last exams. Finally, around 12 a.m. I got up and went to the common room and straight to bed.

The exams the next day flew by in a heartbeat. I now just had to deal with a weeks' worth of classes and then I would be home for the summer! But I wasn't excited about this nor was I sad. I wanted to be home with my mum and dad but at the same time I would miss my friends.

The week was finished, and everyone received their exam grades. Everyone that I talked to passed. I even got to talk to Cedric about his exam. "Yeah, I thought I did alright. I mean I didn't do as good as I would have liked to on my potions, but I did good enough on my transfiguration to make up for it." He told me beaming. "But of course no one could beat you! Top grades in everything! I wish I had your talent."

"Oh please. I just studied a lot, nothing more either. Anyway, I better go pack before the feast begins. Wouldn't want to miss Slytherin winning the house cup." I said with slight disappointment.

"Yeah, real shocker that one. I'm upset that you guys were only 24 points away from winning. If only Snape hadn't taken 50 from Katie for spilling her potion the other day in class. I mean it wasn't even her fault. Even us Hufflepuff's agree about that. But I'll let you go. Write to me this summer?" he asked.

"Yeah! Of course, Cedric!" And with that I headed up to the dorm to pack.

I soon headed down to the feast. I sat next to Lee who was in deep conversation with Lucy. Although no one else knew but me, Lucy had a huge crush on Lee and Lee on her. I just wish that they would tell each other how they feel. Oh well maybe next year when they are a little older. I then turned to George who was talking to Angelina about Quidditch tryouts next year.

"Well if you and Fred practice some over the summer you two would make great beaters! I am trying out for chaser. I heard that's what Beth is going for too! If she makes it that would be great! Katie and I work well together. We would be unstoppable! Hopefully Charlie makes captain next year he's a great keeper."

"Couldn't agree more with you. But beaters? Hmm. I'll have to look into that and see what Charlie thinks." Said George.

Finally realizing I was still listening to their conversation I saw someone sit across from me. Who other than Fred Weasley. I smiled and asked "So now that you have full reign to do whatever pranks you want this summer what is your-"

"Would you want to come to the Burrow this summer?" He blurted out before I could finish what I was saying.

"I-I would love too Fred. I just think I need to stay home this summer. I want to find out more about my dad plus my mum and I were wanting to take a trip to France." Seeing the look of disappointment come across his face I said, "How about sometime next summer? Maybe even the summer after that?"

"Of course!" He said, his mood changing for the better. "You can stay anytime you want! Maybe even next Christmas you can come! Our families can get together sometime!"

"Sounds like a plan." I said.

Finishing the feast with the ceremony of the house cup being presented to Slytherin, we all went back to our dorms to sleep in there one final time before summer begins.

The next day we all went down to the great hall to eat some breakfast and then grabbed our trunks and headed to the train. The five of us went to an empty compartment and were completely silent the way home. I didn't want to break the silence, so I just sat there. Fred was next to me and next to him was Lucy. George and Lee had the other side of the compartment. We all looked at each other from time to time but other than that we all just sat looking at our hands or out the window. Before we knew it, we were at Kings Cross. We all for up and gathered our things and walked into the platform. We then circled around each other and all gave each other hugs. Lucy was the first to hug everyone because her dad was waiting for her. She told me one last goodbye and headed off promising to write over the summer. Lee gave me a hug and told the twins bye and left though the barrier. So finally, it was just the twins and myself left. George gave me a huge hug and went off to see his mother who was waiting on the platform. Fred saw her and waved and told her to wait for another second.

"Well. I'll see you in a few months then." He then held out his hand expecting me to shake it. I looked at him and said,

"If you are too embarrassed to hug me in front of you mother just say so." Holding out my hand we shook hands and I turned without another word to him. I was upset he did that to me. I was his best friend and he treated me like rubbish.

"Wait Beth!" Fred called out running towards me. Without even thinking he hugged me" You deserve that. I'm sorry." And he rushed off to his mother. I then went to the barrier thinking about what had just happened and then saw my mum waiting for me on the other side. I went to he immediately and hugged her.

"I'm glad you are back home." She said with some uncertainty.

"What's wrong mum? You sound worried." I asked.

"Honey." She managed to work out but then started crying. "It's...its your dad! H-he's in the h-hospital!"
