Billy looked over at Molly's comatose body. After two whole months of nagging and begging, the medical staff had finally, finally allowed them to visit her. John was sitting on the floor, his head on his knees. Charlie looked... indecisive. Simon was every bit as grumpy as before, but now sorrow underlined his every word and action. Eddie looked like he was about to cry.

"Guys?" Eddie's voice shook. "Will Molly be okay?"

They were all silent. Eddie turned to Billy. Whenever she, or anyone else he cared about, was badly injured, he would always assure his friends, as well as the injured person themselves, that it would all turn out well. But now...

"I don't know, Eddie. I... I just don't know."

Eddie lowered his head and slowly walked away.

He's lost all his spunk, Billy thought sadly.

John cautiously reached out and ran the tips of his bony fingers through Dr. Collingwood's dark hair. Her face looked peaceful, but one of the nurses had told him that there were times when her face would change in a way that made it seemed like she was in pain. Lawrence, when he had asked, had told him something similar.

He prayed that what they'd both told him wasn't true.
