Chapter 27: A Cry For Help

Dr. Collingwood screamed in pain as she was torn apart, bit by bit, by the Sleep Killer. Its eyes glimmered with sadistic glee as it plunged its claws into her flesh again and again and again.


Lawrence gripped her hand, murmuring sweet nothings into her ears as she weakly thrashed around, her face contorted in an expression of agony. He was trying his hardest to get her to calm down, but nothing seemed to work.

She tossed her head and muttered something too incoherent to make out. It was only when he leaned in closer to try and comfort her that he heard it.

"Help... me..."

A nurse rushed in and he was ushered out of the room, the former promising to get her to calm down, but they both knew how it would all go.

The nurse shook her head in frustration. No matter what she did, nothing could calm the researcher down.

 As she walked away, defeated, she never heard the near-silent, mumbling plea.

"Help... me... please..."
