"Phew! Finally done!" Dr. Collingwood wiped her forehead with her sleeve. Not wanting to risk her neighbors noticing her, she'd sold her house and moved away, bidding a tearful farewell to her friends.

The new neighborhood she was in was a little bit smaller and, by the feel of the weather, a little bit colder in the winter.

She collapsed into bed and snuggled up under the covers, falling asleep in minutes.

A few weeks later...

"Uh, Molly?" Lawrence touched her shoulder.

"Hm?"

"C-Can I move in with you? You said you moved to a new house and I, uh, was hoping I could help with it?"

Dr. Collingwood chuckled. "I already finished moving and I told you that. Tell me the real reason you wanna come over."

"Alright, fine. It's just... you've been isolating yourself a lot up until we got you to open up. So I wanna make up for lost time. Besides, I've been thinking about living with you for a long time now."

She looked at him for a moment, then hugged him, wrapping her arms tightly around him and burying her face in his chest. He looked down, stunned for a moment, then wound his arms around her waist and pulled her close. After a long, long while she looked up at him.

"I've been really lonely since I moved to my new house. I don't dare show my face in public. I always go out to walk at night with a mask on so that no one will see me," she said softly.

He leaned down a little, pressing his forehead against hers. "Well, not anymore," he whispered.
