John gave the book back less than ten minutes later.
"Okay, you're right, this book is a mess." He shoved it towards Dr. Collingwood. "I couldn't get through Chapter 1."
She rolled her eyes and tucked it back into her bag. "Told you it was horrible."
"So, Molly, you accept?" Carson asked.
"Challenge accepted." Her pupil and iris disappeared, leaving her eyes an empty, hollow black.
John shuddered. "Creepy" wasn't a word that he'd ever thought he'd apply to the sweet-natured, kind-hearted researcher, but it was always just a little terrifying when her eyes turned empty black, especially when it was combined with her horribly burned face. It usually meant that she was extremely pissed. And when she did get that pissed, it was not pretty.
"Can you not do the whole 'turn your eyes black' thing? It's a little creepy." Mr. Moore looked just a teeny bit uncomfortable.
Her eyes returned to normal as she looked back at him. "I can't really control it, you know. It just... happens."

Dr. Buck rummaged through her folders. There were so many SCPs now that it was getting harder to find specific files.
She had just found what she was looking for when something let out a deep, howling roar behind her.
She whirled, her spine going rimrod straight, half expecting some horrifying abomination behind her.
It was just Dr. Collingwood, fangs bared and claws outstretched. Once she saw that she'd successfully scared her, the heavily scarred researcher burst into laughter.
"That was too easy!"
As she was kicked out of Dr. Buck's office, Dr. Collingwood glanced down at her claws. She'd have to file them down again soon.
Carson shuddered at the downright evil smirk Dr. Collingwood was giving him.
"You saw it, right?" she asked.
He gulped and nodded.
"Well, it's time to fulfill your end of the deal."

Carson gritted his teeth as he shivered violently in the ice tub. He could barely write his lines.
I regret my life decisions. All of them.
