"Oi! Phantom Freddy! How's it goin'?" Billy flailed his arms above his head.
John suppressed a groan. The sloth had been calling Molly "Phantom Freddy" ever since she'd recovered from her shattered leg at the hands of Abel. His reasoning was because both had an injured leg and a missing ear.
"Could you stop that?" Simon snapped.
"Simon, it's fine." Molly rolled her eyes.
"No, it isn't."
"Well, to be fair, that scar does make you look cool," John admitted. And it also adds to how terrifying you are when you finally snap, he added to himself.
Lawrence reached out and ran his fingers through her hair. "You're still beautiful." Molly looked away, her face flushing red.
John could barely keep a straight face. Oh God, they're adorable together.
Charlie chuckled and leaned towards John. In a voice so low that no human could hear it, he said, "That's true love if I've ever seen it."
John smiled, thinking of all the times he'd seen the two lovebirds giving each other doe eyes. "How long do you think it's gonna be before they're married?"
"Unless something happens, six months, tops."
"Make that three months."
"I've heard that Carson, Amelia, Green, and Matt have a betting pool as to how long it's going to take for Lawrence to get down on one knee."
"Dr. Buck's doing it? Wow. She must really be bored. How much money's at stake?"
"From what I last heard from Eddie, which was a few weeks ago, two thousand dollars are at stake. Probably gonna go up over the next couple of weeks."
"People really are interested in some two colleagues' love story, huh?"
"Well, it's the Foundation. Bad stuff happens here, so I guess they're gonna latch on to anything wholesome."
