"Looks like Molly's back to normal," Eddie said, fiddling with his claws.

"Not quite, she's still got a long way to go," said John.

"Let's just be happy she didn't turn to drinking," Simon growled.

John winced. One time after Lawrence had broken the news to Molly about her father's death, she'd come to work smelling of alcohol, which was concerning since, outside of special occasions, she wouldn't touch any fermented drink with a ten-foot pole. And even then she would always make sure that she never drank enough to actually get drunk. Charlie had privately told him about the first - and last - time she'd gotten drunk. It had happened while she was in her late teens and she'd driven a car while under the influence, leading to a traffic accident that almost killed her. She'd sworn off alcohol ever since.

"I'm pretty sure the whole 'smelling like alcohol' incident was a one-time thing," John said quickly.

"Hopefully."

"Is Humboldt still acting like Don Quixote before he realized that he was insane?" asked Billy.

Charlie shook his head. "Sadly, yes." Even Billy was annoyed by the dumb things Humboldt would say sometimes.

Eddie quickly changed the subject. "So, you guys heard that Lawrence is gonna live with Molly from now on? And Billy, keep your mind out of the gutter," he snarled at the sloth. They rarely disagreed when it came to shipping Molly and Lawrence, but this was one of the few things that they did butt heads over.

"Yeah, yeah, I know."
