John wasn't the most socially adept, but his keen eyesight allowed him to pick up on emotions very easily. And it didn't take a genius to see that Lawrence was in a pretty bad slump.
"Hey, Lawrence, what's wrong?"
The red-haired security guard turned his head a little and mumbled a single sentence, barely moving his lips, but John could still hear it clearly.
"Molly broke up with me."
"Wait, what?! You mean more to her than anything in the world!"
"Up until today apparently. She literally just said that our relationship wasn't working out, somehow, and said that she didn't love me anymore," Lawrence said bitterly.
"Why?"
"That's what I've been trying to figure out. Lately she's been drifting further and further away from me, but this escalated way too fast."
John sat down and rubbed his temples. "Do you think it could have something to do with her and SCP-6134-3?"
"Possibly, but I have no proof of that. We have no idea what the limits of the thing's power is. The snake's hidden its powers before, and would probably do it again."

Naga chuckled as he sensed both of their broken hearts. It wouldn't be long. Dr. Collingwood's escape had closed a door for him, but had also opened a window.
It won't be long before she is in my hands. Swearing to purge yourself of your love for him? How pathetic.
