Dr. Collingwood woke up.

It was silent. Completely silent. She couldn't even hear any white noise.

She was lying on something soft. She could feel something - a blanket, perhaps? - covering her. She tried to open her eyes.

But she couldn't. It was like they were glued shut.

She tried to move. Her muscles refused to obey. Her body felt like it was made of stone.

She tried to speak. Nothing came out. Her mouth couldn't even open.

Come on, Molly, open your eyes! Move! Say something! Do... something! Anything!

But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't.

She wanted to scream. To scream and scream until her lungs gave out. To just do something to catch someone's attention and get them to help her. But she couldn't move.

Help me! Help me! HELP ME! SOMEBODY HELP ME! GET ME OUT OF HERE!

Billy stared longingly through the observation window. It'd been a few days since Dr. Collingwood had just passed out, out of the blue, and she still hadn't woken up. They'd done tests on her, but couldn't find anything wrong, he'd been told.

"Is she gonna be okay?" Eddie looked like he was about to cry.

"I assure you, Eddie, that our medical experts can and will get to the bottom of this." Dr, Buck's voice and manner were as stoic as ever, but Billy noticed that her reflection in the window was tinged with what looked like genuine sadness and concern.

Looks like she's starting to change that jerkass atitude of hers. Good riddance, Billy snarled in his mind. But it didn't make him feel any better. If anything, it made him feel like a jerk.
