Yantrana crept as close as he could to the two humans without anyone noticing. His red eyes darted back and forth between the guard and the researcher, weighing the two options. Collingwood would likely be resistant, and he had been in Naga's service long enough to know that when he said that he preferred a certain option, it really meant that he wanted it, no matter the cost.
"Mother, Father, forgive me for what I am about to do," he prayed.
He darted out of his hiding place, quicker than a whip, and struck the tiny area of skin uncovered by Lawrence's clothes, just above his shoe. The second his sting pierced the man's skin, Yantrana skittered away as fast as his little legs could carry him. He knew the effects of the Sting, and after the first time he'd used it, he never wanted to see them again.

Lawrence felt something lightly tap his ankle, but thought nothing of it. Suddenly a searing pain started in his ankle and shot up his leg, quickly spreading to his whole body.
He fell backwards out of his seat, screaming his lungs out as he started to convulse. He could just barely register Molly screaming for help, Eddie shouting and seemingly panicking, and Billy's rapid-but-fading footsteps.
How long it was, minutes, hours, seconds, Lawrence couldn't tell, but eventually he heard someone shouting and what seemed like bands of steel clamped down on his wrists and ankles, pinning him down. Something was jabbed into his arm and, in several minutes, everything went dark.
