Eddie pulled up a chair and sat down next to Dr. Collingwood. He lowered his head, nudging it forward until his nose touched her ear. He took a deep breath.

"Molly, I don't know if you can hear me, but I have a... a feeling that something or someone is trying to keep you like this. I've only got this to tell you: fight. I know you can do it. All you need is to be strong, and you're stronger than anyone I've ever known. I mean, you've come all this way without falling to this place's evil. And if you ever feel alone, always, always remember that I, my brothers, John, and Billy are here for you. Never forget that."

Dr. Collingwood looked up to the darkness above, her eyes welling up with tears at Eddie's words. He was usually little more than a carefree, happy-go-lucky jokester, but it was times like this that reminded her of how much the big scarlet puppy truly cared about her safety.

Oh, Eddie. If only I could thank you.

Resolve swelled up in her. Her hands clenched into fists.

I'm not sure if I can get out, but all I can do is try, she thought. For them.
