Lawrence absentmindedly twirled a lock of Dr. Collingwood's dark hair around his finger as she read a book. She'd let her hair grow out, and now it was long enough to fall to her shoulders.

She was sitting on his lap, he had his arms wrapped around her waist, everything felt perfect.

"H-Hey, Molly?" Lawrence stuttered.

"Hm?"

"Can you please get off my lap for a second, please? I-I want to talk to you and I think we should stand up for this. It would be, um, more... a-appropriate."

"Sure?" She stood up and so did he.

Lawrence gulped.

"Are you okay, Lawrence?" She'd never seen him so nervous.

"I..." He took a deep breath. "Well, I wanted to do this a lot sooner, before everything went south, but I kept chickening out and... well... y-you know what happened. A-And the snake destroyed the ring yesterday-"

"Ring? What does that have to do with-"

Lawrence put a finger to her lips. "I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I want to share the rest of my life with you."

He knelt down. "Molly, will you..." he swallowed hard, "will you marry me?"

Her eyes went wide and her hands flew to her mouth, eyes filling up with tears of joy. She threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around him and sobbing into his chest.

"Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes!"

Happy tears filled Lawrence's eyes and he buried his head in her shoulder.

Finally, both felt complete at last.
