Dr. Collingwood peeked around the edge of the table she was hiding. The tall, slender, humanoid figure didn't seem to notice her. It slowly strolled out of the room.
She waited till she couldn't hear the creature's footsteps anymore, then ran to a door on the opposite side and shut it behind her, then continued running down the hallways. She didn't dare stop.
She was so occupied looking over her shoulder that she almost didn't notice the dead end. That was when she heard a door creaking on its hinges.
Sh*t.
She was grabbed by the back of her neck, lifted off her feet, and slammed into the wall. The image of the sleep killer's pitch-black eyes, like endless pits, would stay with her for a lifetime.
Long, knifelike claws stabbed into her left eye, almost severed one of her arms, tore massive chunks of flesh off her body, then forced her mouth open.
She screamed as her lower jaw was ripped out and she herself was unceremoniously dropped to the ground. The 966 standing above her grinned sadistically, then, just as she couldn't take the pain anymore, jammed her jaw back into her skull, then leisurely walked away, giggling as she writhed on the floor in agony.
