Dr. Collingwood leaped over fallen debris. The building Naga had teleported her to had started collapsing almost as soon as she arrived here. The floor beneath was crumbling and the pieces were falling into an endless abyss below, while the ceiling was crashing down on her.

The ground beneath her feet cracked. She jumped and almost didn't make it to the other side of the sinkhole... until a strong hand grabbed her own. She looked up to see who it was.

"Lawrence! How are you here?"

"No time to explain! We need to get out!"

He hauled her up and dragged her along.

They came to a closed door. Lawrence broke away from her and starting banging on the door trying to get it open. The floor between them was cracking and the rift was rapidly growing wider.

Lawrence whirled around and held out his hand as she leaped across the gap. He caught her, and...

Why isn't he pulling me up? This place is falling apart! If we don't get moving we'll both be crushed!

Lawrence's face suddenly stretched into an unnaturally wide, ear-to-ear grin and he cackled.

"Oh, Molly... if only I ever loved you in the first place."

Then he let go.
