Ellie, Jake and Grace came down the stairs that morning to Casey and Dawson arguing about Dawson's first day back on the job and about her not passing the firefighting training. They stopped once the triplets came into the room but they knew there was tension between them and it was awkward. Casey shared a quick glance with Dawson before sighing and turning to the triplets .

"Are you ready to go?" He said. "We're going to be late."

"Whose fault is that?" Grace mumbled as she walked by him to get her lunch out of the kitchen with Ellie.

"Excuse me?" He said with a raised brow.

"You heard me." She said as she walked past him to the door.

"Just because you're upset with me doesn't mean you get to have an attitude or use that tone." He said firmly.

"I'm not upset; I'm mad at you." Grace said before slamming the front door.

Casey sighed heavily and clenched his jaw. "We don't have time for this today". Matt then looked at Ellie who looked more happy since the day she stepped in to Chicago again. All Matt Casey thought was at least one niece is doing well. But truly was she? Or was she covering her emotions to make her uncle and everyone else to stare at her daily like a baby who is sick.
