Three years later
I sat at the table tumbling with my hands nervously. Me and nagito were having dinner together. He's started to spend more time with me ever since he joined hopes peak. It must be a wonderful school if it was able to bring nagito out of his shell.
And I'll be going there as well. I just have to tell him.
I cleared my throat "umm nagito I have some news"
Nagito looked up in surprise "and what news is that little brother?"
I pulled out the letter "I'm going to hopes peak. I'm the ultimate lucky student just like you!"
"oh" his tone sounded disappointed. I felt a little hurt "I would have hoped for an actual talent from my shining hope but if this is all your capable of then that's fine"
I looked down sadly "brother are you.. disappointed in me?"
"what? Of course not!" he ran up and hugged me "your my little brother, my shining hope! There's no way I could ever be disappointed in you" I smiled and cuddled into his chest. I missed this.
"it's pretty crazy that we both got selected as the ultimate lucky student" nagito chuckled.
"yeah. You good luck must have rubbed off on me" I giggled.
Nagito looked away sadly "nagi is something wrong?" I asked worriedly.
"of course" he gave me a bright smile and rubbed his nose against mine, making me giggle "everything is wonderful. Now we must celebrate you getting into such a hopeful school. Let's pop the campaign"
"but brother I'm not old enough to drink!" I yelped.
"oh nonsense little brother. No one truly waits till there of age to drink" nagito shrugged away my concerns and poured me a glass.
"ok I guess I'm having my first drink" I laughed nervously as I took a sip.
My brother really is the best!
