Bucky's POV
Each journal held letters, small entries to either Sarah or myself, sometimes to both. Some were small things...
Bucky...
You should have seen Morgan today! I taught her how to blow a raspberry and now she won't stop! It's driving Tony up a wall!!!
Some were just simple words...
Sarah darling,
I'm hugging Winter and thinking of you.
Each entry told a story, showed her good days and her bad. I read each one, tears falling down my face and the occasional chuckle at a funny entry. I smiled fondly when she berated Steve about proposing to Natasha and frowned sadly whenever she would write about how she pictured our lost baby would've been like.
Buck,
I think he would have had your smile this time. Funny how I always picture him a HE huh? He would have had your smile, but I think this time he would have had my eyes! I wish we could've met him my love... could've held him in our loving embrace. But maybe he's with you and Sarah now... take care of him for me darling, tell him how much I love him.
Hours must have gone by as I read each journal, diving into each of them as if was a life preserver in the middle of vast ocean. As I reached the last entry on the last journal I paused and looked out the window. The sun was starting to set, casting an orange hue on the horizon. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath, steadying myself to read the last entry. After this entry it would be real, she will be truly gone, and her memory is all that's left behind.
James,
Today we're going to pull off what Tony is calling a "time-heist" to bring you and Sarah back to me, to bring everyone back home. I have faith that this will work my love. I pray when you return to me that you will find it in your heart to forgive me for everything I have done. For losing our child, for almost giving up the will to live. I was hurt and lost, but I realized I still had to live for you both, so I did, and I will continue to do so once you return. You and Sarah are my world. I will do whatever I need to do to bring you home. Then when all is said and done, we will burn these journals together. We will let go of the past, we will move forward together. As we have always done. I love you James, now and forever, until the end of the line.
Until the end of the line... The words tightened my throat and held a constricting pain in my chest. My Angel is gone. My world less brighter for it. As I put the journal down I realized that I needed to go. My daughter needed me, I needed to be her anchor just as much as she was mine. We have each other, and together we can always keep her memory alive. (Y/N) saved us all. She's been saving me for most of my life. Even with her gone, she's still saving me, reminding me that I need to be strong just as she had to be.
I slowly walk out of the room and down the stairs, out the front door. I take one look at our home, knowing I will come back soon. But for now, my family needs me to come back.

Steve's POV
It's been a week since everything. Since we lost (Y/N), and everyone came back. When Buck came back that night, he looked different. He looked like a man on a mission. He was no longer completely lost and dazed, he dived deep into caring for Sarah, devoting himself fully to her.
After that night we began to work on our plan to return the stones to assure that we didn't open up nasty alternate realities. With Tony around, it was quicker than we could have anticipated. The machine was complete, and I was ready to do my duty and return the stones.
