A/N: Sorry I've taken so long to post! I have been dealing with a lot personally and had a lot going on! But I made up for it by bringing you two chapters today! Enjoy!

My home. Our home.

I stood there silently for what felt like hours, just staring at it. Eventually I willed myself to move, I stood at the front door, hand on the knob before taking a deep breath and turning the key.

The house was covered in a thin layer of dust and the air was heavy. I felt like an outsider looking in, witnessing memories paused in time. A chair on the counter was pushed back, a reminder that someone sat there and left rather quickly. Did I sit there last? Or was it Bucky before...

I walked behind the counter and found a dirty empty coffee cup in the sink, a layer of dust over it as well. I remember I didn't have coffee that morning. Bucky must have had some before he left. I caught myself outstretching my hand towards the cup, but held off just before reaching it. Turning quickly away I made for the stairs.

The pictures lining the walls were covered in dust, slightly obscuring the image underneath. I was tempted to wipe away at the dirt, but knew I would break the instant I saw the images. I left the pictures as they were, continuing my slow steps up the stairs. Slowly I made my way to Sarah's open door, quietly as if fearing I would wake her up during her mid-day nap. But there was no sleeping Sarah, no soft little snores that reminded me of her father. My heart panged at the sight of her dark and dusty room, a far cry from the bright and cheerful space that she made her own. I willed myself to walk in, a daze falling over me as I sat on her small bed and grabbed her favorite stuffed wolf, Winter. I smile fondly at the memory of when Winter came into our lives.

"Mommy!!!" I hear Sarah squeal in delight as she runs up to me, launching herself into my waiting arms. I can't help but squeeze her and kiss the top of her head.

"Hi sweetheart! Did you have a good day with your uncles and daddy?" Sarah pushes away from me to look at me in the face, pure happiness and joy exuding. "Uhuh! Look!" She wiggles in my arms to be let go and starts running off towards to where Steve, Sam, and a very disgruntled looking Bucky stood. I tilt my head at them questioningly, but all I get in return is a growing angry scowl from Bucky, Steve shaking his head, and a wide cheshire grin from Sam.

"Look mommy! Look!" Sarah tries to grab my attention by flailing her arms at me, pointing to a fluffy white wolf stuffed toy on the nearby coffee table.

Getting down to her level I look at the stuffed wolf and smile at her softly, "Wow sweetheart! That's a pretty wolf!" She grinned back before snatching the wolf from the coffee table, hugging it tight in her embrace. "Unkie Sam gots it for me! Is names Winter!"

I hold back a snicker as I look up to Sam with a raised eyebrow. "Winter huh?" Sam's grin grows tenfold and I can tell he is trying to hold back his laughter.

"I thought it was a perfect gift Angel! You know, to always remind her of her daddy!" Sam chuckles as he pats Bucky on the back. I can watch the anger rise in him at the action. Steve just shakes his head, bringing his hands to cover what I can bet is a smile at the whole situation.

"I'm going to make sure I get her a chicken stuffed toy to remind her of you..." Bucky mumbles under his breath and I can't help but burst out in complete and total laughter, falling on my ass in the process. Sarah quickly takes advantage and jumps on top of my stomach Winter in tow, effectively knocking the wind out of me.

Sarah laughs at my grunt and practically shoves Winter into my arms, "is soft and cuddles mommy! Just wike daddy!" She turns and does grabby hands towards Bucky who instantly melts at her attention and comes down beside me. "Soft like daddy huh?" I whisper playfully and watch Bucky smirk a little. His lips find their way to my neck and he whispers softly for my ears only "Unless mommy wants it rough..."
