Cathan Leywin Pov

"You will lose your human body."

"W-what do you mean he will lose his human body?" Gramps asked.

"His human body is limiting him, this awakening process will be painful and slow, the outcome on the other hand is worth it," Miras explained.

"But that'll mean he'll stop being a human, does that mean he will become some kind of killing machine?" Art asked his voice filled with anger.

"No, his bones, muscles, skin, and even organs will become inhuman. His looks, mana affinities, and personality will remain as they are now, he will not change mentally and emotionally." Miras answered quickly.

"I see..." My voice trailed off.

"I can stop it, that is if you want me to," Miras added on.

"No. I want to become stronger, even if it's going to be painful." I said with a determined tone.

"Cathan, why do you want to become stronger?" Gramps asked.

"I want to protect my family and friends, that's why I want to become stronger," I answered my voice filled with determination.

"How strong will my new body be?" I looked at Miras expectantly.

Rather than answer with words, he stood up and pulled out a notebook and a pen, he ignored everything and everyone around him and started writing with breakneck speed, no matter how many times we called his name he ignored us.

"Here, this dimension ring has notebooks I used during my life, there's information on mana beasts, plants, and spells. I also documented your improvements over the years, from reaction speed to footwork and force unleashed with each strike and spell." Miras explained handing me the ring and a notebook.

Calling any of these a notebook would be a crime, they had notes on mana beasts from C class all the way to SS class, it had notes on all kinds of plants, from ones used in healing to ones used in cooking, Miras even documented how much I improved during my training with him.

The spells were all very complex and hard, even the earth golems spells were improved upon,  the last page of this specific notebook showed an extremely complex calculation, with the answer being twenty.

"My new body is going to be twenty times stronger?!" I asked my eyes wide.

"Yes, like I said before your human body is limiting you, this body will allow you to access the full potential of my will and your elemental affinities," Miras explained ignoring the wide-eyed Arthur and Virion staring at him.

"How do I progress this... Awakening?" I asked after recomposing myself.

"It will progress the more you use my will, purify your core and learn more about mana. That said, my time is at an end, work hard Cathan, There is a reason for everything. With this, I bid you farewell for now. Remember, protect your family, study what I have left you, and enjoy this life." Miras said smiling at me before disappearing like he was never there.

Finally breaking the ice gramps spoke, "Cathan! I have good news. The teleportation gate that is supposed to open in two years will be opening early. There is a tournament that will be held in the city of Xyrus in four months. This tournament will be a very important event for the future because both the dwarves and elves are sending youths as representatives for both the tournament and as preliminary students to your human academy. During the tournament, we can sneak you back into Sapin without the humans knowing at that time," Gramps exclaimed with a smile on his sharp face.
