Claire Bladeheart Pov

Draneeve was bleeding on the ground, and standing near him were Cathan and Azrael in his dragon form. A little red-haired kid sat on a throne watching them.

Cathan's body began to absorb the purple flames. Draneeve tried to move, but ice spread from Cathan's feet and froze him to the ground in less than a second.

"H-How?!" Draneeve stuttered, his wide eyes glaring at Cathan.

"Are you sure you want to use that, Cathan?" The kid sitting on the throne asked.

"I can't let a good test doll die without experimenting," Cathan smirked.

"You dare call me a testing doll?! I am the mighty Draneeve!" Draneeve shouted as black flames consumed the ice.

Draneeve bolted up as the black flames covered his fist. In a movement so quick that even I couldn't see it, Draneeve got launched away while Cathan didn't even budge.

Azrael let out a thundering roar as Cathan launched Draneeve into the air. The force from whatever attack Cathan used propelled the trees and destroyed the ground.

Draneeve puked blood while holding the stub of his arm, which was cleanly cut. The red-haired boy looked bored, despite the speed of each strike which was a mere blur to us.

"Damn you!" Draneeve cursed, his mask crumbling.

"Miras, are you going to sit there, or are you going to help the students?" Cathan raised a brow while ignoring Draneeve's curses.

"Do I have to?" The boy- Miras, gave Cathan his best attempt at puppy eyes.

"Yes." Cathan deadpanned.

"Fine," Miras relented with a sigh.

Miras stood up from his throne and walked over to us. He stopped in front of one of the students who had her right arm bitten off by one of Draneeve's mana beasts.

He raised his arm and quickly shot an icy blast towards the frightened girl. The girl could only watch as the icy blast turned into a silver mist and disappeared into her body.

The girl's severed arm regenerated in a single second. A limb entirely grew back without any side effects to the person healing, and not even to the caster.

Miras moved with the efficiency of a skilled healer and quickly healed the students and professors. The hooded figures, including the mana beasts, were all kneeling.

Guessing from the strained and pained expression on their faces, they weren't kneeling by choice. Draneeve and Lucas were the only ones still standing.

"Hmm, there's another bug here. Do you want to deal with him?" Miras spoke out of the blue.

"I have a little idea for him." Cathan's eyes didn't leave Draneeve as he raised his arm.

In a single moment, in the place where Cathan was pointing with his arm, a magnificent and flawlessly crafted teleportation gate as big as Azrael appeared out of thin air.

A moment later came an auburn-haired boy alongside another slightly smaller dragon, who was probably Sylvie. Her horns looked nothing like Azrael's intimidating horns.

Neither Cathan nor Arthur talked, but they acknowledged each other with a nod. Arthur's eyes focused on Tessia's prone body, Cathan's eyes focused on Draneeve, who was regenerating his arm using black fire.

Draneeve's arm regenerated, and he quickly dashed towards Cathan. The black flames covered his entire body rather than just his arm. Cathan raised his arm and shot a small purple fireball.
