Cathan Leywin Pov

The man glared at me while rubbing his beard. His onyx obsidian horn reflected the sunlight as he studied me. After a few moments of silently staring at me, he frowned and let out his bloodlust.

I smirked and let out my own bloodlust, which dwarfed his. I could see rage and fury boiling up within his eyes as we glared at each other.

"Little Dragoth, it's been too long." I innocently waved.

"We never met." Dragoth quipped calmly despite the vein popping in his temples.

"Oh, we didn't?" I rubbed my chin. "Ah, I was thinking of Uto. God, I miss that cheese-loving ransack."

"You lesser scum killed Uto." Dragoth spat.

"That's where you're wrong, Dragoth. I tortured Uto, but the Vritra killed him." I waved my hand as if his words had a terrible smell.

"That death was mercy compared to what you did to my precious retainer." Dragoth took a step forward, releasing all his bloodlust.

"Ooh, scary," I smirked, taking Rupa out of my dimensional ring.

A golden light covered Dragoth's hand, and when it disappeared, he was wearing two black gauntlets that covered everything from his elbow to his knuckles.

Rupa, which became red after I went to Alacrya, began to transform and took on the shape of a longsword. I launched myself off the roof and swung Rupa at Dragoth. While he was shocked by Rupa and my speed, he blocked my attack.

Dragoth lifted his other arm and threw a punch, which I blocked with my hand. I infused fire mana into my hand, creating an explosion that made Dragoth jerk his hand away from me.

I quickly took advantage of this moment and used Dragoth to jump away. Dragoth didn't even trip as I jumped on him, which went to show how much of a behemoth he was.

Dragoth quickly threw a punch in the air, sending a blast of soulfire at me. Trusting in Rupa, I blocked the soulfire using it, and it didn't break. Dragoth's eyes widened as he scowled.

I landed on the ground and skidded to a stop before lunging forward again. I opened my mouth and gathered fire mana in front of my mouth. I fired the blue blast directly at Dragoth, who blocked it by bringing up his arms in a crossguard.

Dust kicked up the ground as I spun around and swung Rupa at Dragoth's exposed right side, but he blocked it by placing Rupa under his armpit. Dragoth sneered and prepared to punch but let out a groan as an arrow stuck itself deep into his waist.

'Took you long enough.' I commented, imbuing wind mana into Rupa to replicate the effects of a storm.

'You should be thankful I'm here.' Athena quipped.

"Aghh!" Dragoth let out a scream of pain as he kicked me away to stop Rupa's wind blades.

Dragoth screamed as arrows fired one after another until his back looked like a hedgehog. Dragoth panted for air as soulfire lept from his body and consumed the arrows.

"You're admirable, Leywin," Dragoth commented in between breaths as soulfire healed his wounds.

"I would say you're admirable, but that would be a lie." I quipped.

"Too bad you have to die. You would've made an excellent retainer." Dragoth sighed in disappointment.

"Sorry, but I don't work for lessers." I taunted with a smirk.

Dragoth rushed forward, firing large metal spikes as he drew nearer. I smirked, covering Rupa in blue flames. Dragoth fired metal spikes directly in front of me before attacking my back.
