Cathan Leywin Pov
My illusion followed Arthur, walking like I would, breathing as I would, and wearing what I would. It was a perfect replica that no one could see through.
Although I wouldn't usually be able to control an illusion like this, there were three reasons I was able to do this. The first is the Immortal Eye's clairvoyance ability, which allowed me to leave my body for a few minutes. The second reason is that my soul and Athena are connected, so she can show me what she sees despite me being in a soul state.
The third reason was the simplest; I built this place.
The creation godrune on my lower back could track everything it created, so the layout of this entire place has already been engraved into my mind.
A crowd of hundreds of thousands gathered today for the announcement, and Azrael was visibly nervous, as this was his first time showing off his human form.
As Virion stepped on the platform, the entire crowd quieted down. They all respected the man that protected and saved them, so they didn't dare disrespect him.
"Elves, dwarves, and humans of Dicathen!" Virion started in a business-like tone. "As I'm sure all of you are aware, the asuras, or deities as we used to call them, have betrayed us and have been using us all this time for their personal goals."
"The asuras wouldn't hesitate to destroy Elenoir, Sapin, Darv, Beast Glades, and the entirety of Alacrya and Dicathen to ensure their prosperity! At one point, they have used us as tools to fight their war and regrow the world from ashes as per their needs." Virion continued, timing his pauses to capture the attention of the crowd.
"When we failed, they left us to die. While most of you might hate Alacryans, the asuras, and the Vritra for what they have done, I believe that surviving this war should not be our only goal..."
Hushed murmurs spread through the crowd but quieted down as Virion continued. "I, along with the rest of the council, believe that war is not a suitable answer to everything. We believe that peace is achievable, and for that, we ask that you please welcome our guests."
"Join me in welcoming our first allies in peace!" Virion spread his arms grandly, and the lances took that as their cue to step up. "Lance Aya of Elenoir, lance Alea of Elenoir, lance Mica of Darv, Lance Bairon of Sapin, and lance Varay of Sapin!"
Clapping, whistling, and chants echoed throughout the crowd as the five lances stepped up in their white armor. The lances bowed slightly and stood to the side.
Virion smiled as he took a step forward. "As I have stated before, we, the council, believe that we must achieve peace, and for that, we invite our second batch of guests."
"Please welcome Lady Caera Denoir and former scythe, Seris Vritra!" Virion announced as Caera and Seris stepped onto the platform.
Disdain, fear, and anger clouded the face of the crowd as they glared at Seris and Caera's horns, and they all began to shout in protest. It was as we expected, and Virion didn't get flustered.
Virion's face turned a little serious. "I am aware that many of you fear or hate the Vritra for this war, but for the sake of Alacrya and Dicathen, we beg you all to consider this: Didn't elves, dwarves, and humans wage wars before? Didn't we all kill and fight each other? Did everyone live without discrimination? All that to fight against our common enemies."
"Yet, despite that, we have all joined together and formed the council to rid the world of discrimination. We asked that all of you, small, big, old, and young, all find it in your heart to forgive! They might have waged war against us, but they were pawns in a war between asuras, just like we were."
