"And how do you plan on getting a new godrune?" Athena quizzed.
"During my fight with the asuras, my mind was tearing itself apart because of the insight I was gaining. When I woke up in here, I sealed off Miras' will to avoid that happening again." I smiled bitterly.
"You plan to remove the seal now." Athena picked up what I was saying.
"It'll take some time, but I'm going to slowly unseal it bit by bit to avoid stress." I nodded.
"You want that godrune in particular, correct?" Athena guessed.
My lips curled up into a smirk as I nodded. "Looks like you've got my plan figured out."
"It is not difficult to guess you would want that godrune." Athena quipped. "Your goal is to gain control over fate, so you would need a godrune of each branch to do that."
I conjured a stone throne and sat down. "Mhm. I've got a vivum rune and an aevum rune, so I need a spatium rune now."
"Did you not want to recreate the effects of that godrune using your mana arts?" She asked.
"As of now, I can only use spatium in my mana arts if Miras' will is unsealed, but unsealing it would slowly kill me, so I'll need any spatium godrune to do that," I explained.
"I see." The six pitch black rods transformed into long swords and circled around me. "I will be on guard while you work on acquiring the godrune."
"Alright, thank you." I smiled, taking a deep breath and unsealing Miras' will.
Instantly, a sense of superiority washed over me, as I could feel every part of my body growing in strength. Even the Immortal Eye, which was an artificial body part, had its powers amplified.
Despite only unleashing a fragment of Miras' powers, I felt the difference in strength. Usually, I would be able to defeat Aldir, but during my fight with the three asuras, I would've been able to defeat the three of them if it weren't for the stress on my mind. Now, I felt as if fighting three asuras was nothing much.
It wasn't that I just grew stronger. No... It felt as if Miras and I were growing more connected and aligned. For some reason, even here in hell, I felt as if Miras was with me. To be more accurate, it was like a literal part of him was here.
Black and purple runes moved around, slithered around my body as I unsealed more of Miras' power. The sense of superiority over everything was overwhelming. It felt as if even Kezess and Agrona wouldn't be able to beat me.
The knowledge of the godrunes engraved themselves into my mind. My mind was hurting, but it was endurable. It felt as if a divine power was invading my body and blessing me. I could easily sense everything now, from the weak breeze to the screams of the eternally damned.
The Immortal Eye was more powerful than usual. It showed me everything from the wind moving to the sound waves traveling around. Yet, despite that, it felt as if I saw everything double. I studied the surrounding changes and realized what was happening.
I wasn't seeing double. The Immortal Eye was showing me what was about to happen. Now that I think about it, something similar happened during my fight with the asuras, but I dismissed it as me feeling dizzy.
My fear of everything disappeared as this divine power washed over me as if asking me to give it control. I was familiar with this. The branches of aether were trying to hinder me. Everyone thinks that aether is omnipotent, but it wasn't.
Aether was divided amongst itself as if fighting itself.
It was a sentient being, and like every other being, it had personalities. If one wants law and order, then another wants chaos. If one wants life to prosper, then another wants death. If one wants peace, then another wants war.
