Arthur Leywin Pov

Suddenly, a massive shadow covered the entirety of Elenoir. Augmenting my eyes, I looked at the sky. A large rock floated in the sky thousands of kilometers in space. Aside from the dense clouds of aether covering the rock, it looked like a normal rock.

But that rock was something I'm all too familiar with—Xyrus.

Cathan looked around before stopping at Aldir—glaring at him—saying something I couldn't hear. Aldir jumped up, attempting to hit Cathan, but Miras shot him down before he could even lift his feet.

Aldir struggled to stand up, the dragons continued to maintain their spells to ensure Aldir's survival. Moments later, the ambient aether trembled, quaking as if in the presence of something higher.

I couldn't see it, but I knew it was happening.

Xyrus wasn't just a floating city. No, it was a spell enhancer.

So long as something was made of mana or aether, it could grow stronger with this.

The few remaining asuras looked at the sky and paled.

A visible storm of aether swirled around, displaying its majestic purple color.

More storms—of mana this time—formed and moved around, making the battlefield resemble the end of the world. Hundreds upon hundreds of lava plumes shot from the ground, covering the land in lava.

Rain fell from the sky, making a sizzling sound against the lava as dozens of hurricanes spun around. The ground shook under the power of this foreign presence. Everyone—except Cathan and Miras—paled at the scene before us.

I've seen and held priceless weapons—forged by master craftsmen and even asuras—yet this scene made me doubt the value of those weapons. Despite wielding a sentient weapon and destruction incarnate, I couldn't register a weapon being this big or this dense in mana and aether.

The massive pitch-black sword tore its way through the air, sending massive storms of mana and aether throughout the entire world. It was easily bigger than a skyscraper from my old world, but it was still a usable weapon.

Only one thing—or one being to be more precise—could do this—Athena.

Recovering quickly, Aldir raised his hands, preparing to take the attack head on. As he opened all three of his eyes, the pressure from his core was released in its entirety. Although I couldn't take my eyes off of what was about to happen, I could still see Regis running here with a few unconscious kids on his back.

'Arthur!' Regis screamed in my mind, evading the lava plumes trying to burn him alive and the tornados trying to fling him away.

Shaking my head roughly, I recovered from my daze. Godstepping towards Regis, he threw the kids at me before jumping into my core. Quickly catching the unconscious kids, I felt my hair stand on end.

Without looking back, I picked the path that would take me furthest and godstepped. Instantly appearing outside the forest of Elshire, I panted for air, feeling my aether reserves nearly empty. That was just a single godstep, I thought to myself.

Jumping out of my body, Regis shook his body, somehow splashing a cold liquid on me. "It does make sense though, you godstepped through half a continent."

Frowning slightly, I looked around for a moment before realizing what he meant. At first, I thought we were barely outside the forest of Elshire, but looking closely now, I could see remnants of what used to be Dragonspire Inn.

Gently laying the kids on the floor, I sheepishly scratched my cheek. "I guess I went a little overboard."

"A little?" Regis scoffed.
