Cathan Leywin Pov
I watched as Uto stopped his troops from advancing, and none of them questioned his command. Uto dismounted his horse, and one of the troops quickly held it in place.
'Do you think you can handle him alone?' Azrael's concerned voice rang in my mind.
'I should win. It won't be an easy fight, but I'll win.' I replied.
'Should I help, master?' Athena asked.
'I want you and Azrael to take care of the strongest troops while I take care of Uto, then our troops should arrive and clean up the rest.' I shook my head.
Uto looked back at me and flew up. It only took a few seconds, but the retainer capable of annihilating a lance and squad of silver core mages was floating in front of me.
"Hello, pup." Uto grinned.
"Displeasure seeing you again, Uto. Perhaps you would like to taste today's special. We call it Prueba la derrota." I grinned back as his smile flickered for a moment.
"It seems the pup knows how to speak. How scary." Uto's grin quickly plastered on again.
"It would be somewhat ironic for a pup to defeat a mutt," I stated.
"You lesser scum dare call me a mutt?!" Uto spat.
"Isn't that what you are?" I quipped.
Uto ignored my comment as he crept closer to me with outstretched arms. "You can't imagine how excited I am to have you here."
"I was actually expecting you. Agrona is playing his retainers and scythes carefully, so he's placing them where they're strongest. In this situation, it's actually best that you're here." I smirked.
"How so?" Uto casually raised a brow, unaffected by my remark.
"It just so happens that I've learned a nice trick with lightning and fire magic that would be extremely beneficial against you." I raised my arm straight up.
Uto looked up, and his eyes widened as he realized what I was planning. All the fire mana in the atmosphere gathered in one spot, which basically created another sun to counter his ability.
"You lesser scum..." Uto cursed when he realized my plan.
"I think it's a fair fight. You won't be able to harm my troops, and I won't be able to attack yours." I smirked.
"You really think I give a shit about those worthless lessers?" Uto spat.
"If you lose them, then my army would destroy your small chance at winning." I quipped.
Uto didn't reply but flicked his hand. I didn't defend myself since I knew his magic would barely kill a fly if he tried using it this high off the ground. What I didn't expect was for Uto to conjure spikes and kill a dozen or so Alacryans.
"Let's take our fight elsewhere," I sighed, turning my gaze back to the Vritra.
Uto tilted his head. "Fight? Why do you think that a lesser like you is worth my time at all?"
"I doubt you would come to kill some of our troops. You came since you knew I was here." I answered casually.
Suddenly, he burst out into a fit of laughter. "I can see why so many of you try so hard to keep your motives hidden. For times like these when it should be a surprise."
He turned around and made a dismissive gesture. "Lead the way."
"Oh wait, before we go. I'm sure you wouldn't mind if I get a little warm-up by killing some of your troops." I asked, staring at the troops.
