Cathan Leywin Pov

My hands moved to Claire's waist and held her closer while her arms wrapped around my neck. I usually don't need sleep, and I slept a few days ago, but I felt like I needed to spend time with Claire before the actual war.

I stayed in bed with Claire, unwilling to let go, but alas, all good times must come to an end. I slowly removed my arms from Claire's waist and moved her arms away from my neck.

I stood up and created a sound barrier around Claire's ears. I didn't want to disturb or wake her up. I wore some new clothes before taking the broom and cleaning the room. I made sure to light candles to get rid of the scent while I cleaned the room and tidied it.

I let out a sigh as I wiped the sweat off my face. I placed the broom against the wall and walked towards the kitchen. I pointed at the firepit as a blue fireball shot out, and the fire spread through the wood.

I placed some herbs and leaves into the kettle before adding water. I hung the kettle over the fire as the water turned into tea. I left the tea to brew before pulling out some cooking necessities from my dimensional ring.

I placed the frying pan on top of the oven, adding cooking oil before cracking three eggs against the frying pan. A sizzle tore through the silence as the yolk spread on the frying pan.

I hummed a song to pass the time while cooking the omelet and occasionally checking on the tea. After deeming the breakfast ready, I set up the table and sat down, sipping on my tea while thinking of what happened last night with a blush.

Shaking my head, I stood up and walked to my room, where Claire was still sleeping. I placed her teacup on the nightstand before gently shaking her awake.

"Claire, wake up," I whispered while gently shaking her.

"Mmmm?" Claire sat up while wearing one of my shirts and rubbed her eyes.

"Good morning." I smiled sheepishly.

"C-Cathan?" Claire glowed bright red.

Claire took a quick peek at herself before her eyes widened. She took another glance at my room before her eyes settled on her clothes on the floor. She burned like a candle after noticing her clothes on the ground.

It took a while for Claire to calm down after recalling what happened last night. It didn't take a genius to figure out she was drunk last night. Claire ate breakfast with me despite her embarrassment.

"This is really good," Claire commented.

"Thank you." I smiled at her comment before taking a sip from my tea.

"Hey, Cathan?" Claire called out softly.

"Is something wrong?" I sat my teacup on the table.

"C-Can you not tell anyone what happened last night?" Claire looked away with a blush.

"I won't tell anyone, I promise." I nodded.

The two of us continued to eat our breakfast while talking. Despite how I acted, I was plenty embarrassed as well. The two of us agreed not to talk about what happened last night, especially in public. I couldn't help but notice Claire was eating more than usual, but I didn't mention that for a while.

"Are you okay?" I asked, noticing her aura fluctuating.

"I'm fine." Claire unconvincingly nodded. "I'm just a little hungry."

I reached my hand out to take one of the sandwiches when a slight burn caused me to jerk my hand back. I looked up and saw Claire looking at my hand with wide eyes.
