"What's the plan, Princess?" Regis asked as Cathan disappeared into the portal.

"First, we get Sylvie back, then return to Dicathen. When all of that is said and done, see my daughter for the first time." I answered with a sad smile.

"Come on then. We shouldn't keep your princess waiting." Regis pushed me forward.

"Right," I nodded, focusing on the present.

Regis leaped through my body as I took a deep breath and prepared to walk through the portal. My hands trembled as I pulled Sylvie's egg out of my dimensional rune and held it tightly.

I placed my forehead against Sylvie's egg and whispered. "Time for you to come back, Sylv."

I exhaled before storing Sylvie's egg back in my dimensional rune. Slapping my cheeks, I walked through the teleportation gate with a determined expression. Unlike the portals in Dicathen and Alacrya, it only took a moment for the portal to guide me through the relictombs.

The portal transported me into a white room with a few humanoid figures standing around. At first glance, they looked human, but when I looked closer, I noticed that they were just a pile of organic and inorganic material, but the most notable thing was that they had six limbs instead of four.

The stomach had an open panel, and I could see the artificial hearts pulsating wildly inside the humanoid constructs. They were probably prototypes for the various aether beasts in the relictombs that would become living beings after the Djinn deemed them ready.

Regis leaped out of my body and looked around before facing me seriously. "Do you think these are sexbots?"

"No, they look like a prototype of the shadow claws, or at least something similar." I shook my head.

"We already got an aevum godrune from the first Djinn, a spatium godrune from the second, and you learned some minor aether abilities and a vivum godrune from the third. Do you think this one will teach you to manipulate fate?" Regis sniffed around the room.

"You could use the names of the godrunes, you know?" I rolled my eyes.

"Alright, alright. No need to get pouty, princess." Regis huffed.

"We got Aroa's Requiem and the dimensional rune from the first Djinn. We got Spatial Defiance from the second Djinn. Time Dilation and some minor aether abilities from the third, so the fourth will probably be a vivum or spatium rune." I theorized.

Regis' ears perked up. "If it's a vivum rune, then you have to make me a human form."

"So you can embarrass me in front of Tess and Chloe? No chance." I immediately declined.

"I promise I'll behave in front of your family." Regis thumped his tail on the ground.

"We both know you're lying." I sighed.

"Oh, come on! Imagine how majestic I would be if I had a human form." Regis protested.

"You'll get a trial run on your behavior soon. No dark jokes. No swearing, and no inappropriate behavior in front of Chloe." I warned.

"Noted." Regis grinned.

"Let's start this test." I took a deep breath and walked forward.

The room was a long tunnel made of entirely white marble. There were a few paintings and statues along the wall, but nothing worth noting. Regis did knock a few over as he sniffed them for aether.

As soon as I was halfway across the room, I could feel a few aether signatures suddenly appear and flare up. I quickly whirled around and got into a stance with an aether sword in hand while Regis' fur stood on its end as he bared his fangs.
