Cathan Leywin Pov

After the very emotional reunion with Arthur and him hitting me for teasing him and his wif- I mean and Tessia, who I learned very quickly does not like to be called princess, I swear even Miras' training wasn't scary like her.

We quickly moved away from the maid's curious gazes, and into a soundproof meeting room, we all took seats with me at the end of the table next to Arthur facing his wif- I mean facing Tessia... And me facing Virion.

"Alright, tell me brat." Virion started then leaned in. "How in the world did you get here?"

"Uh... I was teleported her-" I was going to explain but was quickly cut off.

The room's lightning started to dim slightly and the ground began to quake, Virion, and I quickly stood up and drew our swords, Arthur due to probably not having a sword just got into a stance, and a very familiar voice started to speak, one I thought was dead.

"Honestly Cathan, I'm gone for a few hours and you're already saying too much."

"Miras! But how?" I quickly dropped the sword and looked around frantically.

"Who are you!?" I heard Virion shout.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around with enough speed to break my spine, my eyes lit up as I spotted the familiar eight-year-old red-haired human child, he looked at me with a sad smile as my eyes started to tear up.

I hugged him tightly, well I hugged his legs given how tall he is compared to me, I had many questions to ask him, how is he here? What happened after he teleported me? Why did he not come with me?

"H-how a-are *sniff* you here?" I asked past my sniffling.

"Well, it's really simple, I'm not here," Miras replied as he patted my head.

I finally broke away from the hug and looked around the room for the first time since Miras arrived, Arthur and Virion both looked terrified, Tessia looked unaffected due to her not having a mana core.

"Miras you should hide your presence," I advised pointing towards the two other mages in the room.

"Ah, my apologies." Miras apologized with a bow before hiding his presence.

"Wh-who a-are y-you?"  Virion asked mustering up what little confidence and courage he had left.

"I am Miras, I am a being created in an unnatural method, my apology for my late introduction." Miras introduced himself with a slight bow.

Everyone calmed down after Miras' sudden appearance and sat back down, Tessia and I were the only ones unaffected by Miras' aura, Tessia no doubt due to her not having a mana core, and the reason I was unaffected was that I'm used to his aura.

"Why are you here? And what the hell was that aura?" Arthur asked.

"I am not here, and for the reason, I'm here is to help guide Cathan to harness my power. And for that aura, it is very interesting you're able to sense it, only beings without much sentience are able to sense my aura." Miras explained without hesitation.

"What do you mean you're not here?" Tessia asked.

"I am currently dead, the only reason you are able to interact with me is due to my consciousness surviving thanks to my beast will," Miras said ruffling my hair.

"So you really died in that realm..." I muttered.

"Yes, although I would like to use my consciousness that isn't much of an option."

"What do you mean?" Virion asked regaining his composure after experiencing Miras' aura.

"The amount of mana required to awake my consciousness from its dormant state is massive, even a white core conjurer won't have enough mana to wake my consciousness. The only reason I am here as of now is because of the teleportation gate I created." Miras answered.
