Tessia Eralith Pov

Arthur placed a hand on my shoulder, and our surroundings suddenly changed as we appeared in Chloe's playful room. I blinked a few times, not registering what was happening.

I instantly jumped off the ground with a flustered expression. "W-What?

"Pfft-" I heard someone stifle their laughter, and when I turned around, I saw Arthur covering his mouth with both hands.

Instantly, my face reddened as I punched his arm as he burst out in laughter. "Arthur!"

He finally stopped laughing. "Sorry."

Suddenly a loud cry caused me to turn my head to Chloe, who woke up and cried. I let out a long sigh. "I'll get her to sleep, and you clean up the room."

"As you wish, m'lady," Arthur spoke grandly before kneeling down and picking up one of Chloe's toys.

I walked over to Chloe and held her in my arms, slowly shushing her and stroking her head. Chloe's cries didn't quiet down, I let out a groan, and Arthur, who was cleaning the room, came over and placed a hand on Chloe's cheek before patting her head.

Chloe's cries finally quieted down as she closed her eyes in content at her father's actions. My gaze was unfocused as Chloe babbled quietly with her eyes closed.

"I know you reincarnated before." I started, breaking the silence as Arthur stiffened.

"Tess, I-" Arthur tried to talk with wide eyes.

"I don't really care about that. All I care about is the current you." I looked up at him and smiled. "I'll love you no matter who you are."

I let out a yawn before placing Chloe in her crib, tired from making this little troublemaker sleep. I shifted my glance to the doorway, where Arthur leaned against the door frame.

"Thanks for the help." I yawned again. "She's been sleeping a lot quicker since you've come back."

Arthur walked over and kissed me gently, making me blush slightly. "Sorry I wasn't there before."

"It wasn't your fault. It was mine." I muttered with a downcast gaze.

"Tess." Arthur started, placing a gentle hand on my cheek. "You didn't do anything wrong. I would've risked my own life to save my parents as well."

"Let's hope this troublemaker doesn't do the same thing." I chuckled, gesturing to Chloe with my eyes while holding Arthur's hand in place.

"Are we talking about Chloe or you? You're both troublemakers. Although I guess you're troublemaker maker." Arthur teased.

I could feel my face heat up as he said this. "Arthur!"

"Hahaha." Arthur laughed as I tackled him to the ground. "I give. I give!"

Despite him relenting, I continued to tickle him. Finally, after a few minutes, I noticed our positions and blushed even brighter.

"Well, this reminds me of Xyrus." Arthur whistled with a blush.

Instead of jumping away, I lowered my head and kissed his lips. Arthur returned the kiss with some difficulty due to our position. Using his tongue, he licked my lips, asking for permission to enter.

I opened my mouth and felt his warm tongue touch mine, sending shivers down my spine. I let out a muffled squeal as Arthur wrapped his arms around me and lifted me.
