Cathan Leywin Pov
I don't think they know I'm still watching. These sinners, they kissed before marriage, holding hands before marriage was already beyond what is allowed.
I'll leave the love birds alone, I still need to discuss my spear-scythe with Gideon, and my mother wants me to talk to the guests. Also, my mom told me that more guests are visiting.
I canceled the sound barrier around them and stood near the door. Most of the guests were dancing or conversing with each other. The kids were playing with Ellie and Lilia.
"Welcome! Thank you for coming." I greeted the guests from a bow without looking who it was.
The man had a sharp and angular face. His hair had the same color as his black suit. Behind his rimless and thick glasses were a pair of keen eyes that regarded me intently.
"I apologize for arriving late." He apologized with a slight bow while studying me.
"There is no need to apologize. Thank you for coming, sir Kaspian." I dismissed his apology.
"So you are familiar with me." He nodded with a smile.
"My father told me many great things about you." I lied, mimicking his smile.
"I'm sure you have Aurora." Kaspian grinned.
"How did you figure it out?" I asked with a sigh.
"Claire overheard Noah and Madam Astera talk about you going to Xyrus to improve your magic. I asked the director for a list of the students with the strongest wind affinities. Your name was at the top." He explained.
"I see," I muttered.
"Speaking of Claire," Kaspian started. "She helped me find out your identity, but in return, she wanted to see you again," Kaspian smirked.
"Uncle!" Claire jabbed her uncle's side before turning to me. "I-It's nice to see you again, Aurora." She muttered with a slight blush.
"Likewise, but please call me Cathan. I'm trying to hide the fact I'm an S-class adventurer," I stated with a playful wink.
"R-Right." She mumbled, looking away.
"There you are!" Gideon called out. "Himes just told me that the spear-scythe is ready. All I have to do is work on transferring the beast core ability to it." Gideon stated proudly.
"Thank you for your work again." I thanked Gideon with a slight bow.
"Beh, don't mention it. Your help with the Dicatheous and the gold is enough payment for me." He grumbled.
The sound of someone clearing their throat reminded me that I should introduce Kaspian and Claire to the grumpy renowned artificer named Gideon.
"Ah, right. Mr. Gideon, this is Kaspian Bladeheart and Claire Bladeheart. Kaspian, Claire, this is Mr. Gideon, a grumpy renowned artificer." I introduced them and smirked at the last part.
"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Gideon." Kaspian curtsied with a slight bow.
"N-Nice to meet you, Mr. Gideon." Claire greeted with a bow.
"Nice to make your acquaintance, Mr. Bladeheart." Gideon greeted with a bow.
"I guess you got attached to spears, Cathan," Kaspian noted.
"Considering that water and wind are my elements, spears and weapons focused on fluidity are the best," I replied, scratching my head.
"What did he mean by transferring the beast's core ability to it?" Claire asked with her head tilted.
