Cathan Leywin Pov
"Let's go," Arthur quickly stepped forward, teleporting forward before punching the green-haired retainer.
"Way ahead of you," I reacted by pulling Rupa out of my dimensional ring and making it take on the form of a claymore.
'Athena, protect Cecilia.' I stated mentally before the six rods flew off.
'They wouldn't harm her, but I suppose we should be safe rather than sorry.' Athena stated while the six rods revolved around Cecilia and took on the form of shields.
I stepped forward using Mirage walk and spun around before kicking Klystis' retainer, who barely had time to bring up his right arm to defend from my kick. The kick was still strong and sent him skidding to the side, but he quickly pulled out a greatsword and swung it in an arc, sending a wave of soulfire at me.
I smirked and snapped my fingers, conjuring a pillar of blue fire in front of me. My spell harmlessly consumed the soulfire. The retainer's eyes widened as the soulfire disappeared, and I used Mirage walk to dash forward and punch him in the face.
I knew how much these Vritra blooded Alacryans loved to talk, so I created a web of sound magic and fired it directly at his mouth. The retainer didn't have time to react as the sound web sliced off his jaw, stopping him from moving his mouth.
I infused all four affinities into Rupa, changing the color from a pitch-black into a crimson red. I raised Rupa to eye level as cold sweat rolled down the retainer's face.
"Well, you lasted a decent two minutes, so try and rest wherever you end up." I swung Rupa horizontally.
Rupa's blade quickly grew while the stunned retainer brought up his sword enveloped in soul fire to defend against my attack. Blue flames covered Rupa as it broke the retainer's greatsword and decapitated him.
I quickly took a step forward, and Mirage walk brought me to his corpse, where I placed a finger on his forehead and turned his remaining lifeforce into mana. Blue and purple flames erupted from within the corpse, but I ignored it and stood up before plucking the horns off the side of his temples.
I stored the horns in my dimensional ring and looked at the field. Kiros and the scythes were gritting their teeth while watching our fight. Athena protected Cecilia while Regis pretended to fight Cyrlit and Arthur fought the remaining two retainers.
"Do you need help? I'm kind of bored here." I conjured a stone throne and sat down.
"No, but it would be quicker if you help." Arthur casually avoided the retainers' attack while responding.
"Alright." I stood up and dashed forward, gripping Rupa tightly.
I raised a stone wall, separating one of the retainers. The retainer wasn't wearing any armor but quickly whirled around and fired dozens of metal spikes. I narrowed my eyes and created an armor of ice, changing its form so it wouldn't slow me down.
"S-Stay back!" He stammered.
The spikes hit the armor but barely chipped a piece of it. The retainer began to walk backward while firing metal spikes. I stomped my foot and began to spin around, right before using Mirage walk.
The retainer couldn't react as I sliced him in half with a diagonal swing. His organs began to spill out as the upper part of his body slid off while his lower body tumbled to the ground lifelessly.
I let out a sigh while kneeling and placing a hand on his forehead. The retainer experienced the same thing that happened to the other retainer. Blue and purple flames erupted from within his body before it withered away. I plucked the horn off his forehead and stored it in my dimensional ring.
