Jack was running as the containment breach alarm went off, this is the fourth containment breach this month. He made sure that he doesn't hit his head this time or injure himself at all, he was trying to find a safe place but every space so far was locked. He turned a corner and there was SCP-049, "Shit.." He whispered. He heard someone behind him and they yelled, he turned around. It was Dr.Nelson. He turned back and saw 049 make it's way toward them, he ran. Jack heard Dr.Nelson run with him, they made their way toward the stairs and ran up them. They ran upstairs and as soon as they got up top the steps, Dr.Nelson turned to him and said, "I'm sorry." and pushed him down the stairs. Jack fell down them, as soon as he hit the ground he could feel something in his leg break. He tried to suppress a scream. He looked up and saw 049 make his way toward him, he took out his walkie, "Ryan, Adam..049 is here and making it's way toward me. I can't move, I just wanna say..I love you." He said in a hoarse voice.

Ryan was already halfway up the lower part of the stairs when he saw jack fall, arriving just as jack hit the bottom and finished his sentence. "What the hell happened???" He spoke, out of breath from running up the steps. "C'mon, you can't give up now."

He quickly pulled jack up, pulling him up into a piggy-back like hold before trudging up the last set of steps and pushing through the doors. He wasn't going to listen to any of jacks protests, huffing as he carried the others weight while trying to find a safe space for the both of them.

Jack tried to protest against getting piggy-backed but soon gave in, he was tired. He wanted to close his eyes and take a nap but it wasn't safe yet.

Ryan dove into an office, closing and locking the door. He was exhausted and sweaty, gently setting Jack on the floor and slipping off his coat to bunch it up and gently prop up jacks legs with a few books plus his lab coat.

"F u ck." He sighed, sliding down next to the other. "Can't catch a break, huh?" He looks over at the other, pushing up his glasses. "What happened?"

Jack chuckled dryly, "No we can never catch a break.." He sighed. He looked to Ryan, "I was running with Dr.Nelson and after we ran up the stairs he stopped, said sorry and pushed me down the stairs. He was trying to save his own ass." He crossed his arms.

"dr. Nelson??? Really???" He huffed, a surprised look on his face. "I didn't think he'd be a coward, but here we are." He started to laugh, taking off his classes and putting an arm over his eyes. "Where the hell did he even hide...." His tone seemed slightly more angry, gritting his teeth a little bit.

Jack noticed Ryan's tone and body language, "I don't know...I would probably guess his office. I'm pretty sure his office is close to the the stairs." He said as he ran a hand through his hair. "The doctor is gonna get a kick out of this one." He said trying to lighten the mood.

"haha, yeah.." he laughed softly, clenching and unclenching his fist a little. He slowly stood, slipping his glasses back on and moving to peek outside into the hallway. "You think its safe at all yet?"

Jack tilted his head, "I don't know..I think we should wait for them to tell us it's safe over the radios." He said as he was trying to figure out Ryan's movements. "You aren't planning on doing something to Dr.Nelson are you?"

"what? Psh, no!!" He was totally lying. "Thats crazy talk, J. I wouldn't hurt a fellow researcher." He shut the door, slowly settling down next to jack again. He let out a soft breath, letting his eyes close.

Jack raised an eyebrow, "mmhmm..okay.." He said in a unconvinced tone. He laid his head on Ryan's shoulder, "Don't do something you will regret..okay." He said in a soft voice.
