"Alpha? What about Alpha?" I asked.

"It's something with the borders. I'll explain more once we're on the road." My brother explained.

Of course, it's something with the borders. What has she done now? I wasn't planning on going on a run today but hey, my brother is here. I might as well go if he needs my help.

"Are we leaving now?" I asked.

He nodded.

I took a quick glance at Alden and I can see that he doesn't know what to say. But he wasn't sure if he wanted to intervene during this conversation between my brother and I.

"Can Alden come?"

Alden looked at me shocked and so did my brother. But hey, maybe my brother needs an extra set of hands.

"Do you want to?" Aaron asked Alden.

"If you don't mind." Alden said, quietly.

Aaron nodded. "Yeah, of course. But we have to get going now and make it back before sundown."

Alden and myself nodded and went to retrieve our weapons real quick, just in case we ran into walkers or whisperers for that matter. But after the snowstorm, we never stumbled upon whisperers.

We went past the gate and then we were on the road.

"So what's happening?" I asked.

"Daryl went on a run yesterday and discovered something different about the borders. It didn't look right until he realized that Alpha added more." My brother explained.

"Are you kidding?" Alden asked.

Aaron shook his head. "I wish I was. Well it's either she added more or repositioned them so that we can't do something like this."

I held onto my bow as I had arrows in a bag that was behind my back.

"Why do we even follow Alpha's orders? She's not in charge of us." I then piped up.

"I'm not saying she's in charge of us." My brother said, "But we're also trying to stay alive. She won't hesitate to kill any of us if we crossed her borders."

This isn't fair. That fact that we have to live like this. We didn't ask for this.

"Where is the closest border?" Alden then asked.

"Right up there." Aaron said and he pointed in a direction.

We walked to that specific area and we saw the border.

"This one is the closest to Hilltop. I'm not entirely sure if this was here before.." Aaron said as he looked at Alden and me.

I shook my head. "I don't know. I'm not a tracker like Daryl so maybe this wasn't here before."

"We don't know that for sure." Alden said.

"But to be safe, we can't go anywhere near this area." Aaron said. "This is their territory."

"It won't be their territory if we knock the borders down." I said as I looked at my brother.

Obviously, that wasn't the best idea because if I did that then we would all be in trouble and could be killed.

"That's too much of a risk." My brother shook his head.

But then my brother added, "We can let Daryl know about that one once we get back to Hilltop."

"Are we going any farther?" Alden asked.

"I would have to think that the next border that could be close to Hilltop would be in the same direction but we can't go there." My brother explained.
