Chapter 35

*Alden's P.O.V*

I just got done having a talk with Gabriel and I found out some news. News that I know that Shelby won't take too well.

Gabriel was telling me that I would have to be the one to tell her and does it really look like I wanna tell her? Not really but it's only because of the fact that I know how she'll react.

It won't be a good reaction at all.

Which is why it makes me nervous as hell to tell her.

But with a sigh, I walked back to our shared house. She was inside with Adam just playing with him.

Seeing her with him puts a smile on my face. She is an amazing mother to him and it always reminds me how lucky I am to have her in my life.

And same goes for Adam as well.

But here comes the time where I have to tell her the news that I was just told.

Here goes nothing.

"Hey." I said walking up to her and then sitting next to her as Adam was holding one of his stuffed animals.

"Hey," She smiled and then she gave me a soft kiss on my lips.

I kissed her back just as softly before pulling away and trying to stall as much time as I could to tell her the news.

Which still isn't good news.

"I need to tell you something." I slowly said and I'm just hoping for the best.

"What is it?" She asked me.

Now I'm wishing it was someone else telling her this. I've learned to keep quiet in certain situations lately but I can't keep quiet about this. Especially since people are telling me that I'm the one that has to tell her.

I sighed. "It's about Negan."

She immediately frowned. "What about Negan?"

Now here comes the hard part. I'm sure however I say the next part, she is going to react in a way that I knew she would react.

"Negan has officially been banished from Alexandria."

It took a few minutes but after that, she immediately was on her feet and she looked mad. But she also looked upset.

This was the reaction that I knew she would have.

"He's what?" She raised her voice a bit.

I nodded, slightly. "He left this morning with Carol. He won't be staying here at Alexandria anymore."

"For what?" She asked in disbelief. "He hasn't done anything wrong the past while. This is insane."

I want to say something but like I said, I've learned to keep quiet so I'll keep quiet and then let her let out her emotions.

"He's been helping out with fixing this community so it can go back to normal and today he gets banished. For what? I can't believe this."

"I know exactly who did this." She laughed as she continued. "There's only one person to blame for this nonsense. It's complete nonsense."

She looked back at me. "I'm not going to stand around here and take this."

And with that, she walked out of the front door. It took me a few seconds to register what she was about to do and I knew that I would have to stop her from doing something that could cause any trouble.

I picked up Adam from where he was playing with his toys and then left the house.

Instantly, I saw her walking over to where Maggie was. I already knew that she would be blaming Maggie for this. Since Maggie is the main person who has a real problem with Negan.
