Chapter 47

*Shelby's P.O.V*

Maggie and myself helped Alden walk as we walked along the path to where the rest of the group was.

It wasn't that long of a walk which was good because Alden would groan in pain every time that we were taking a step. It's gonna be hard for him because of how wounded he was.

"We're almost there." Maggie said to him.

Alden only nodded.

After a couple of more steps, we made it to the group that was near a wagon and they were filling it up with food.

We finally have food.

"They're back." Maggie smiled as she presented us to the rest of the group.

Daryl, Father Gabriel, and Elijah immediately came over to us.

I was immediately wrapped in a hug by Daryl. "Hey, you alright?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just glad that he's okay as well because I was worried about him."

"We all were." Daryl patted my shoulder when he pulled away from the hug.

Father Gabriel was next to hug me and I saw Daryl go over to where Maggie and Alden were at.

"Is everything alright back at home?" Gabriel asked. "Do you know anything?"

"They're still hungry, that's for sure." I lightly said. "But they're doing okay. I went back there after Alden wanted me to. Then I came back for him."

"So Rosita and Coco are okay?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I promise."

Gabriel gave me a smile before Elijah quickly gave me a hug and I hugged him back.

It feels nice to be back with the group. That fact that we separated from what had happened with the reapers and everything.

Maybe now things can be okay.

While I was looking at the group, I realized that some other people were missing. Where was Negan and Frost?

"Where's Frost?" I then asked.

I'll ask about Negan in a bit. I just didn't want to ask so many questions all at once.

"He died." Daryl said. "I was inside the reaper camp and when I came back there, I found out that they killed him. They most likely tortured him. I tried my best to keep him alive."

Maggie and Elijah shared a sad look with each other.

Pretty much everyone in Maggie's group had died, except for Elijah. Cole, Duncan, Agatha, and then add Frost to that list. I know that this is all hard for the two of them. But, hey, we're still here.

"And what about Negan?" I asked them. "Where is he?"

When I asked that question, the group of Maggie, Daryl, Gabriel, and Elijah looked at each other.

I had a confused look on my face and it seemed like Alden did too.

What happened to Negan? Did he die too? No, that's so unlikely.

I mean, Negan could die, but I just don't see that happening.

Maggie stepped up. "Negan left after what had happened at the reaper's camp. I didn't force him to do this. He made his own decision."

"That's it? Negan's not coming back to Alexandria?"

"I don't think so." Maggie shook her head.

I honestly don't know what to think about that. Negan is not coming back to Alexandria. Will I ever see Negan again in this world?
