Chapter 34

*Shelby's P.O.V*

"Your brother still not back?" Alden asked me as I finished making a bottle for Adam.

We had woken up not that long ago and we were trying to relax a bit before we started fixing our house from the outside. We wanted to at least try and get the roof and also the front porch with the flowers fixed.

I shook my head. "He'll probably be back soon."

It's been about two days since I last saw my brother. As a reminder, he's with Father Gabriel to try and find some more food for the community. I don't know what's happening to him so I'm hoping he's okay.

And since he's with Gabriel, I know that he'll be okay.

I finished making the bottle for Adam and I went over to Alden who was currently holding our son and I gave him the bottle.

"Thanks." Alden said as he started feeding Adam.

Since Alden's been back at the community after he went on the walk, he's been more passionate. If that's the right word to use.

Like yesterday, when Adam was taking his afternoon nap, Alden and I did some activities.

And by activities, you'll probably get what I'm trying to say.

We've only done it a couple of times. At first, we would have makeout sessions but then we started taking the next step in those sessions.

It was loving, passionate, gentle and honestly completely amazing.

It was some sweet love making.

As I said, Adam was taking his afternoon nap and he was in his crib that's in our shared room so Alden and I spent some alone time in the living room.

And while I'm completely thinking about Alden and I's spicy night, I couldn't help but also think about his romantic side and how he'll say something that's really sweet.

"Are you still good at pick up lines?" I asked him.

He looked over at me with a smile. "Probably."

"Tell me one of your best pick up lines."

He started to think of one and then said, "I wrote your name in the sky, a cloud removed that. I wrote your name in the sand, the wind blew that away. I wrote your name in my heart, nothing can remove that."

I smiled. "I always love your pick up lines."

"What about you?" He said, "Tell me your best pick up line."

That was something new. Since he's never asked me until now. Let me see if I can think of one.

"If being sexy is a crime, then you are 100% guilty." I said.

He grinned. "That's perfect."

"You're perfect."

I got closer to him and then planted a kiss on his lips. He kissed me back softly before we pulled away.

"Being with you feels right." He said while looking at me.

"I can say the same." I smiled.

Adam finished drinking his bottle and I took it to wash it at the sink. Alden was now gonna be busy burping him.

It didn't take long for me to wash his bottle. Then later on when Adam is hungry, he can get some more milk.

I'm definitely getting the hang of being a mom now. I think I was nervous at first but Alden kept assuring me that I'm going to do a good job and I believed him. I was having a lot of fun.
