*Shelby's P.O.V*

I have a raging headache. I've had it since the time that I woke up in the morning. So at the moment, I was laying in my bed while trying to read. I remembered that I kept a copy of the book, Pride and Prejudice.

I learned about it back in my early college years before the zombie apocalypse started. The story between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet is very moving and can collect a lot of people's feelings.

Earlier when I discovered the headache, I tried to move around Hilltop and help out as much as I could before it got to the point where I didn't even want to stand. Any sound was bothering me. I was with Alden when he was working but then the sound of the metal was really hurting my head a bit more and Alden noticed so he told me to get some rest.

I did get some rest before I woke up after almost two hours. The headache is still there but I'm trying to get through it by reading this book.

If I'm honest, I can't imagine myself in that era but cheers to Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet for creating such a fantastic tale that pulls people's heart strings.

I absolutely love this book.

While I'm enjoying this book, it's making me think of some things that happened in the past. One of them being Alden.

The moment where I saw Alden for the first time. When he first arrived at Hilltop. I remember that moment completely.

|Flashback|

I was currently with Maggie and Enid. Myself and Enid were watching Maggie's conversation with Gregory happen right at this second. He was trying to get in after he ratted out Hilltop to Negan and the saviors.

But then Maggie just let him in so that he would stop going on and on about whatever he was saying. But then something else was starting to happen.

"Uhhh.. Maggie?..." Kal said.

Maggie, Enid, and myself walked to the gate and we saw that Jesus and Tara brought back a lot of saviors. There was one that stood out in particular to me.

"We are not letting them in!" Gregory said. "No way. With what they did? With what they do? They are monsters."

"Gregory--" Jesus started to say but Gregory cut him off.

"No." Gregory stopped him. "This is not a sanctuary for killers. We'll be putting the safety of everyone in jeopardy!"

"Get out of here." Maggie told Gregory.

"I know what they are. I have stared into the face of th--" Gregory started to say but Maggie cut him off.

"Gregory." Maggie snapped. "Go."

Then Gregory walked off to go inside the mansion.

"He actually came back after all that." Jesus said.

"Yeah, he surprises a lot of us." I said.

"And I actually let him in." Maggie said.

"No offense, Jesus, but I kind of agree with that prick." Tara then spoke up.

"There are families here. Children." Maggie told Jesus.

Maggie does have a point.

"There's two empty trailers out back. We could lock them up in there with 'round the clock guards until this whole thing is over. And go from there..." Jesus said.

"You know what they've done to us." Maggie said. "What they've taken from us."

Jesus nodded. "Of course I do. But they surrendered."
